I just want to know how much you all spend on your bridesmaid gifts? :)!
I am spending about $100/girl and I am just wondering if this is normal. I would love to spend more but wedding is expensive so I think this is the most I can spend on each one right now.
They are paying for their own dresses and I will pay for their hair and makeup to be professionally done on the day of. So, do you think this is good enough?

@u_got_that: I spent about $75 per girl… I have 5 girls and I budgeted to get the most I could for the buck!

I spent approximately $40 per Bridesmaid or Best Man and a little more on the Maid/Matron of Honor. I have 7 bridesmaids so as much as I would have loved to spend more, it was not financially feasible. I did get their gifts on awesome sale and used coupons so I got a lot for the money. The BMs will each be getting a mini digital video camera (like a flip cam), and a bracelet. The Maid/Matron of Honor will also be getting the camera and a fancier bracelet.

I’m spending around $100 per bridesmaid (2) and $150 for my Maid/Matron of Honor. They will all be getting a chocolate brown cashmere cardigan to match their dress and my Maid/Matron of Honor will be getting an additional $50 gift card to her favorite store.

i spent about $65/girl, since i had 7 bms, mostly on jewelry (they each got 2 bangle bracelets, as well as a headband that wasn’t part of the wedding day outfit) that they wore during the wedding. if i had fewer i probably would have spent a bit more. i had a really hard time finding jewelry that i liked for them in that price range…

I haven’t bought my girls their gifts yet but I’m budgeting for $50 a person. I would love to spend more but just can’t, we have a big wedding party.
@Meowkers: I love this video idea and would love to know where you got them for so cheap!
@u_got_that: is their gift that you are paying for their hair and makeup, or are you doing that in addition to spending $100 on them in gifts?

I started out trying to keep my spending on attendants to $100 total (4 attendants, $25 per girl), based on what the Knot Budgeter told me was within my budget….
Well, that pretty quickly went out the window, b/c I like to give presents too much.
As of right now, my gifts to them include jewelry (some of which I purchased and some I got free for hosting a jewelry party), a lunch tote with a packed lunch that I’m giving them the day of the wedding, and a “survival kit” that I’m going to put together.
I’m estimating that it will probably come out to at least $50 a girl, and it would be more if I hadn’t gotten some of the jewelry for free.

@SerenaSF: these are the ones I got them. I got one for myself as well and the quality is great. It retails in other stores for $99.
And you can add the famous BBB coupon on top of that. 🙂

I have spent about 100 on each girl. But there are only 3 bridesmaids, including Maid/Matron of Honor. My JR Bridesmaid or Best Man is my neice and her birthday is a week after our wedding so I am getting her little extra.

I only spent about $60 per girl. I got them clutches, lolita shot glasses, and earnings. My mother did however pay for the hairdressers and makeup artists for all the girls, so thankful for that.

I got really lucky. I bought them each beautiful earrings (all different) from Wendy Mink that ranged from $50-$80. Then I planned on paying for their hair since I was politely asking them all to have it done professionally, but my Mom swooped in on my wedding day and paid for everyone. So I would have spent around $150-$180 on each Bridesmaid or Best Man, but ended up only buying the earrings.
The girls all LOVED their earrings By The Way and still wear them, so if anyone is looking for a good jeweler check out her website I think it’s wendyminkjewelry.com. They look a lot more expensive than they actually were.

I had planned to spend around $125 for each of the three BMs, but ended up getting great dealsa and spending less than $50.
I paid for manicures for everyone (my favorite salon happened to have a special running, so they were only $20 each), I found cashmere wraps on super-clearance for $4 each, and ordered necklaces online from a wholesaler in China at $3 each. (They were nearly identical to ones I was going to buy here for upwards of $40.) I also gave them a second necklace I had found before I fell in love with the Chinese site’s ($15 or so?). A family friend is a hairdresser and did my hair, the girls, and my mom’s as a gift.
On a side note, if anyone is interested in that jewelry site, I can try to dig it up again. It seemed kind of sketchy at first and there is a LOT of “meh” stuff to dig through to find the gems , but I ordered a few additional pieces for myself and everything is of decent quality and super cheap. It’s mainly cultured pearls, turqoise, pendants, etc. I don’t remember there being many gem stone or gold pieces.

Geh. I didn’t mean to threadjack with my sidenote. . .it was honestly the first time I thought of even sharing the link and it kind of just came out. My computer isn’t letting me edit the note right now, so if necessary, please edit/delete the post. (and this one too)
