I’ve found a dress I absolutely love, but it seems a bit pricey to me at $220. It’s long, so I would expect it’d be a bit more than a short dress. I’ve never been in a wedding, so I don’t know how much they typically cost. I was just wondering how much most women’s dresses cost, to try to see what the average is. To me, $220 doesn’t seem ridiculous for this dress, but like I said, I’m not sure.

It just depends on what your BMs are comfortable with spending; ask them what their budget is. I know all of my BMs are tight with money right now so they could just choose any knee length black dress. It just depends.

I bought my MOHs dress – it was just over $200. It was a full length dress.

It depends on how your bridal party feels. My dresses were $140, and we even tried on dresses at the $100 point but the girls didn’t like what they tried on.
I am also a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding this summer and her dresses are $235 and I thought it was a bit much, and would have prefered it to be under $200

Most typical Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses around here are 200-250$. There are ways to bring those costs down however if it is needed. I bought all the fabric and notions for my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses for 40$ each and am considerring if I get stressed and dont have time they may pay for them to be made by a semestress (about 70$). Also we took into consideration that the dress can be worn over and over again which was important for us.

The dress I picked out was around $250 but I asked the girls to pay $165 since that was what they were comfortable with and I paid the difference. I have 2 bridesmaids and 1 Maid/Matron of Honor so it wasn’t a huge deal for me to do that for them. I think the dress you picked out is very pretty and the price seems reasonable for a ful length gown. The only thing that would make me question the price was if it was polyester and not a silk satin.

Mine were 230, but they got a 15% discount.

I think anything over 200$ is a lot to ask. Mine is 120$ and I even feel guilty about that.I would ask them what their price range is before you pick it, good luck!!!!!!

It’s a beautiful dress! The price seems fair for the dress itself, it’s about as ornate as I’m going for my wedding dress and similar price range. If your bridesmaids are paying it may be a little steep, maybe go halfsies? Or if you’ve discussed a budget with them pay the difference? A friend of mine just bought her Maid/Matron of Honor dress for $150, she says $200 as a cap is normal.
My bridesmaids will most likely not be working when I get married (still in school, etc…) so I’m planning on buying material and making infinity dresses for them (super easy) but I’m planning on a backyard thing so casual works. I voted under $50, the only cost being a few meters of jersey knit and some thread.
Making this but longer, just below the knee:

My dresses were about $150, since we bought them on sale. The original price was about $220, but I wouldn’t expect my bridesmaids to pay that much. They are all in their early 20’s and just starting out in their careers. I don’t think they have a lot of excess cash laying around.

Our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses cost $98 each. I got them from J. Crew. They were on a great sale and I had an extra coupon code too. That price also included shipping to Canada, so it was an all around an amazing deal!
I personally think anything over $200 is pretty expensive. That said, I’d probably pay it anyway if I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

$220 is a bit high for a dress. My girls dresses were about $150 with a store discount. That is before alterations as well. You need to check with your girls on their budgets and how much they are willing to spend for the dress, shoes and alterations.

We have removed the zipper and made some mods for the bustier girls.

Mine were between $130 and $150 (I can’t remember exactly)… We ordered 2 extra yards of fabric (in 2 different colors) to add straps… my 2 BMs split the one yard, and my Maid/Matron of Honor was fine with purchasing the other yard… and then their alterations were free

220 seems reasonable to me.Esp since it is a longer gown. I have been in weddings and my dress was 400.00.
