My reception package comes with vegetable crudites with dipping sauce and a cheese display with assorted crackers. We’re thinking of adding sesame chicken with a honey mustard sauce and potato puffs as passed hot hors d’oeuvres. Is this enough? Should we add more? I don’t know how much we should have!

How many paople are going to be at the wedding, how long is the cocktail hour and what is the distance (time wise) between the cocktail hour and the hors d’oeuvres?
I think that it sounds like enough, but i guess it really depends on different variables!

There will be about 175 guests. The cocktail hour is from 6pm-7pm, and then reception is at 7pm. The hors doeuvres will be served at the cocktail hour.

I think that’s plenty, and with dinner being at a normal time, you don’t want people to be TOO full. Sounds yummy!

I don’t think that’s enough. However depending on your type of venue, you may or may not get to add more. What’s your venue? Hotel? Reception hall?

With adding the things you mentioned that sounds like enough food to me.

It’s a hotel. We have a bunch of options for things to add. The amount isn’t an issue because we order how many pieces we want, and I think they suggested 2 per person per hor d’oeuvre. I’m just not sure if it’s going to look kinda pathetic only having two passed hor d’oeuvres and the cheese and vegetables? I don’t know!
