OOHHH... I am so glad you posted this because I really want to do this for Mr. FF...
i'm doing boudoir pics and was quoted $350 for 2 hour session... then its about $200 for a flush bound book with collection of my favorite photos. not cheap thats for sure!
I haven't done this, but I'm sure the cost will also vary depending on what part of the country you live in. I see you live in the Bay Area, so often times photography is more expensive here. Maybe you can check out Kelli Nicole, the photographer Mrs. Avocado used. She has great prices and I think we've all seen how great her work it.
My photographer charged $120 for the shoot plus $60 for the album - she was running a special in February and we really lucked out!! The pictures were fabulous - of the 200 she sent me, I LOVED 75 of them. I told her I'll be contacting her int he future for a maternity shoot and baby portraits!
She's Jenni from Forever-Yesterday Photography. Absolutely wonderful to work with and beautiful pictures! Her studio is very close to the BWI airport, though we did the shoot at a local Hilton.
The photographer I'm planning on using for my boudoir pics has these boudoir bashes where you can get $50 off the cost of the packages. The packages start at $300. The rates for the packages are on the website. Boudoir bash info is usually available in the blog and they average about once a month bashes at a local hotel or in the studio. Here's the website: http://www.paperdollshouston.com/main.html
@ktdid23: Thanks for the suggestion! I'm in the DC area and had done some searches and was surprised how much these might cost. I will definitely keep an eye out for her specials.
I paid 275 for her to do my hair and makeup, the photoshoot, and a book with 20 images in it. Since I am all the way across the country I dont know what it would be in CA but thats about average for my area.
I was hoping that I would hear about one of these group sessions/bashes in NYC this spring. I would love to do one, but the cost seems a bit cumbersome when its you alone.

Hey Bees... I'm wondering if any of you did boudoir, how much did it cost and what did the package include/how long was the shoot? Just curious, cause I got a quote that seems high to me, although I know that good quality photography usually costs a lot. Thanks!
