In OC, its usually a package deal for that amount of money. My MUA is travelling and will be handling my makeup and the MOH for less than what you have been quoted.
I found my MUA via weddingwire.com, google.com, and yelp.com
Does this include a trial? Around our area (midwest), I'm doing $50 for hair trial and $75 for day of hair. I'm also doing $50 for makeup trial and $50 for day of makeup. Both are at very nice salons in the area (one is Aveda for hair, the other is the premier makeup studio).
one place i looked at the hair trial is half the cost of their updo's since it will be at a salon. The makeup the trial is included
Those prices seem pretty reasonable to me. I think I paid $300 for my hair and makeup (price included the trial).

my hair is $120 with trial I am still looking into makeup, so I guess $300 would hopefully be my max, this may be one detail the FI may not know the price of.... they just dont get it :)
everywhere I found was similar $150 for day of and $75 to $150 for trials...
The makeup, still looking into that.

I am trying to figure out how much would be needed to pay for hair and makeup. I have a friend of a friend who charges $250 for brides only or $150 if you book 2 bridesmaids with them being $75 per bridesmaids. For hair i was quoted anywhere from $175, $125, $55, $60. Do you think its too expensive?
