Maybe I’m looking for a little reassurance that I’m not completely crazy but I’m just curious how much others have planned before they actually got the ring. Maybe not set plans but imagined and mapped out the event or details… Just curious! 🙂

I’ve noted things I would like, but no real plans yet!

I’ve looked to get an idea of what I like, but I know that my taste and ideas might change once it all becomes “real” (and there’s a budget and a FI and family to supply inputs, too). There’s no harm in looking/dreaming!

@Papillon23: I agree. There’s also the disappointment (tell me this isn’t just me) that you can only pick ONE – color scheme, theme, venue, dress, cake, music, etc. You have so many ideas before the real planning starts, but you can’t choose everything you like.

@redheadem: OMG, I cannot tell you how many different centerpieces I’ve liked, or color combinations I’ve lusted over, or how many times I’ve changed the season I’d like to be married in…my Pinterest boards are a mess!

I know things that I like such as I want it on a beach in the summer but that is all. Sometimes I look at things and see what I like and don’t like but I have no real plans.

I try to shoo away all thought’s like that. I change my mind quite often. I just tell myself when the time comes, then I’ll start planning based on what i like then rather then now. The only thing that I am certain of is I would like white flowers in my hair LOL

I haven’t really officially planned anything but I do have my bridesmaids picked out in my mind 🙂 I have a pinterest board though with different ideas!

Ha! I’ve planned TONS! First dance/recessional songs, the song to walk to, invitation layout and wording, guest list, my dress, shoes, veil, jewelry, bridesmaids dresses, bouquet, centerpieces, flower girl dress, tuxes for the guys, guest book….ahem. I’ve gone over most details in my mind already, and I’ve started stocking up on some things [like all the glass jars we’ll need for centerpieces]. I’m a big planner, and I don’t often change my mind, so I’m running with it. We’re on a tight budget, so the longer I stretch it out, the less it feels I’m spending. I know I’m still spending the same amount, but shhhh!
