We will have managed to keep it under $500.00 this year.  We also have 6 birthdays in December/First week of January, I feel bad because those people always get the shaft.  We really tried to keep it down this year because we’re paying for the wedding with no help from anyone.  I’m with you, people better like their gifts too!! LOL

We are cutting WAYY back this year due to the wedding and house projects. The Fiance and I are only do stockings for eachother, which has been tough because I keep seeing so many things I want to buy him.

Anyways, even cutting back we still spent about $600 on gifts. I legit buy for 2 people on my side of the family, and the rest is spent on FI’s family.

We have a budget of $600 but I haven’t even started shopping yet :(.  We don’t shop for the extended families only for our household and my folks.  Dh and I make eachothers gifts, but he makes me prettier jewelry than I can buy in a store so I am super stoked about that.

I think we will spend about $700. It’s ridiculous.

I’m going to have to add this all up…. sheesh, a lot? As far as what I personally spent… ~$900 including cards and work gifts. Ouch.

About $150 was on work gifts and cards, the rest was split between 6 people; Fiance, my parents, my sister and my two brothers. I also got small gifts for the cats and my parents’ dog. Fiance probably spent somewhere around $400 on top of that for me and his  5 person family if I were to guess but I’m not really sure. I let him handle those gifts.

So probably around $1300 if both of us are counted together for 12 family members and 50 coworkers.

I voted under 750, but Fiance and I split the costs of all of the gifts besides for each other. I spent 200 on Fiance, and we spent 100 on sister/BIL (limit jointly set), 50 on FSIL/FBIL (limit jointly set), 15 on baby nephew, 150 on FMIL/FFIL, 100 on mom, 100 on dad/wife.

Under $200, just paid for essentials and gave everyones present a budget, which worked out fine as most people have everything they want anyway. For close family, we made our own personalised cards, so the thought is there rather than the cost.

As for food, hooray for going round the parents house for Christmas dinner 🙂

I’m at under or right around $200, but I only buy for my folks and for 3 close friends.

(Although this doesn’t count the Christmas presents I bought for myself on Black Friday, heh.)

I’ve spent more than usual because I’m doing stockings for my SO and his mum this year.  As well as my mum.  So that set me back a little – all these “stocking fillers” add up, who knew? Buying “normal” (no stocking) gifts for 12 in total.  I’m a student, so I’m a pretty good bargain hunter.  Bought a really nice, never used vase in a charity shop in it’s box for £3.75.  Would have been £20 in most charity shops and about £60 new.  WIN!

We’re not done shopping yet but I estimate we’ll be right around $1900 once we’re done shopping for both mine and DH’s family, (and for each other).

Ouch.  it hurts looking at that number.  I never added it up before, (and probably won’t again).  I dont’ like seeing it.
