So I've asked all my friends who have recently gotten married how much they paid for their florist, but since they have all gotten married at country clubs, the price was included so they weren't really sure how much they actually paid. I'm getting married at an old refurbished barn where nothing is included so naturally, I had to bring in my own florist. So ladies, I need some feedback. He quoted me $2400 ($2800 with taxes and fees). This included 18 tables with centerpieces, 6 bridesmaids, my bouquet, 10 boutinnieres, 2 corsages, cake topper, votive candles for the tables, battery operated candles for the beams to create ombiance, flowers for the sweetheart table, flowers for the placecard table, and flowers for the restroom. Good deal? Let me know your thoughts, please! :D

This varies widely based on area of country as well as what flowers you are using and whether they are in season. As well as the actual skills of the florist.

Get quotes from another florist whose work you like in your area for the same thing to see if she/he is in the ball park.

What kind of flowers are you getting? For how much your getting it sounds like a pretty reasonable quote to me :)

That does sound like a lot of flower arrangements. I agree you should shop around with other florists.

That sounds pretty reasonable for everything that you are getting. Two florist's quoted around $4,000 for 15 centerpieces, 6 bouquets, 2 nosegays, 8 boutonniere, and flower petals for the isle. Needless to say, I have not found a florist yet.

That sounds a bit much...I guess it would depend on the flowers you are using??

I am paying under 1000 for,,

    • 4 bridesmaid bouquets
    • my bouquet
    • 2 flower girls
    • 2 corsages
    • 9 bouts
    • 30 centerpeices
    • rose petals for head table, cake table and receiving line table
    • votives for centerpeices and cake table and head table

My bouquet is orchids and calla lillies

Bridesmaids are having roses and orchids

    Centerpeices are hydragenas

    Flower girls are having callas

    I would suggest looking around!!!

That sounds like a deal to me! I was quoted $3,700 for 10 centerpieces, 1 bride bouquet , 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 8 boutineres, 2 arrangements for the church, and 8 small pew arrangements.

It depends on your area I guess but that sounds like an awesome deal.

Thats a reasonable price with what you were quoted.  You have 18 centerpieces and everything else?  wow...Are the stands for the centerpieces considered "rental", battery operated candles, and votives (exclude florwers) or do you get to keep the items?  If it's considered "rental" and not purchase, then maybe you should reconsider.

I think it definitely depends on the area of the country you're in.  That sounds like a good deal to me, but I'd check with another florist for a local comparison.  My florist experience thus far has been me getting turned down by local florists because my budget of $2k for flowers doesn't meet the companies' minimum order requirements. Ugh.
