I can't imagine spending $60 on a flower girl basket and ring bearer's pillow. But then again, I'm a fairly frugal person.
I would think not spending more than $30 would be ideal. Maybe you want to look on the classifieds board for ideas and more reasonable pricing or etsy.
In this case, I vote for practicality. I spent like $5 each on my flower girl baskets, lol! Seriously, the girls only use it for like 30 seconds down the aisle.
Practicality, for sure. My FG basket was found by the lead of my House Party for $3 right after Easter at Kroger (grocery store).
BTW that $20 one looks great to me.
I'm having a hard time figuring out which one is the $ 20 one? But that round one looks like mine and I got it at Hallmark Gifts and Cards for 20 bucks. However, I am diggin that square one. If that's the 20 dollar one, go for it !
The round on is the more expensive set (the flower girl basket is $35). I didnt know that Hallmark sold wedding stuff so I am definately going to check that out. Thanks.
i spent $66 and got 2 pillows and 1 basket from an etsy seller. i love them and they look great! i would check out etsy.com and see what you can find.
I actually like the cheaper one better. The rhinestones on the more expensive one actually make it look "cheap" to me...
The square one kinda of looks more like a purse to me -- I guess I seem to go towards the rounder ones then...but that is mostly what I've seen. I spent $30 on mine.
Definitely practicality. We got our flower girl baskets for $10 each at Hobby Lobby, and it looks similar to the first one, except it doesn't have rhinestones. They were $20 regularly, but we bought them during one of the 50% off bridal weeks. Hobby Lobby had several different baskets to choose from, and they all had matching ring bearer pillows, guestbooks, and pens.
i can't tell which one is the $20 one.
mine was about $2. 50 cent basket from a thrift store spruced up with about $1.50 in ribbon.
for the ring bearer pillow i had every intention of making one out of whatever fabric i had at home, but turns out my mom kept hers, so i'm just using that! (funny part--she made it out of whatever she had around. like mother like daughter.).
If you've got the money go ahead and spend it. However it sounds like you ar a practical person. The baskets are not something that are going to be seen that much.
My flower girls actually carried a VERY small bouquet. It looked great and you can actually see it in the pictures.

I’m trying to pick out the flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow and found one that I like, however, it seems to be a bit pricey. I’m not sure if make sense to spend a lot of money ($60 for both pieces) for something that will only be used once. I also found an alternative (both pieces for $20) but I don’t think that it looks as nice as the first. So do you go with style or practicality?
