@oxstardust421xo: Not over $13,500. That’s it, final! Right now our budget comes in at $12,600, but I tend to over budget so I get the nice surprise of things coming in under budget!

About $30 per groomsmen as gifts (mom bought Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts), gifts for parents, then maybe a few odds and ends at Michaels or Hobby Lobby ($25). We bought our rings which cost about $1,500 for my ering, band and his band. We are also paying for the honeymoon which will come out to about $4,500.

Our absoloute max is $15000, but right now my budget is sitting at about $13,500 with 250 guests. I’m hoping it will be more like 200 guests, which would bring it down a bit more. That includes everything for the ceremony and receoption, rings, my dress, shoes, veil, FI’s tuxedo rental, etc.
My parents have said they will pay for half of everything, and my FI’s parents have said they will cover the catering costs for their guests, so that will leave Fiance and I with around $3750 to cover ourselves. We are both very grateful! We could afford to pay for it all ourselves without a huge struggle, but now we will be able to save that money for our future, which is what our parents want.

@bapbap: I understand, we’re in LA and staying within our budget is taking an act of heaven and hell and anything in between. My advice if you’re looking to save money is to look further afield, and get creative with veneues (since they chew up most of the budget). We live in LA but in order to find a good venue for a good price we’re looking an hour outside of LA. It takes lots of legwork (whatever did people do before the Internet?), but it can be done.

JUST the wedding cost us 4K (we had a luncheon with 42 people), the honeymoon cost us about 4K.
We received the rehearsal dinner and my dress as gifts!

Our wedding cost us $20,000. That pretty much includes everything minus our honeymoon, which was gifted to us by my parents.
@renwoman: We live in LA as well and noticed how freaking expensive everything was! We did a ton of research and managed to find an amazing venue in Huntington Beach that perfectly fit our budget.

Our wedding is costing my fiance and I 63k. Our parents are covering the rest.

My parents have given us a budget of $20,000 and everything we spend over that is up to us. We will be paying for the honeymoon ourselves which will be about $2K and have budgeted to spend about $2K more on wedding stuff if we need to.

Just Fiance and I? We are kicking in about $3,000, my family is very graciously providing the other $7,500.
