    $6000 for caterer and rentals

    $1500 for band

    $1000 for flowers

    $2000 for venue space

    $500 for cake

So a little over $10,000 total, if you only want day-of expenses.

We are estimating $22,000 for the wedding but that does not include my dress, his tux, rings, transportation and gifts. That's all going to be maybe an addiitonal 4-5,000

I know what you mean SweetAdelineXO!

I totally thought we would try to keep it small and not too lavish.

I saw someone's post about a 10 000 wedding budget just now and so I pulled out the pad and paper to add things up.  Can't believe it!  So much more than I would have thought!

Our original budget (basically, what the parents are paying for) was $15k.  I think right now we're nearing $30k.  I think that includes the honeymoon though.  So, if you don't include that, we're at about $25k.

I'm embarrassed to share that with most people!  It seems crazy to spend SOOOO much money on one DAY!  I'm very excited and so incredibly grateful that our parents have been so generous. But, I would have been happy with a lovely trip to exchange our vows, and then take the rest of the cash and put it toward a house.

yeah...I dont want to post the actual number (I voted in your poll)  but when I added everything after the fact in Excel, we were surprised to say the least.  We didnt go into debt or anything, it was all paid for up front (we had VERY generous parents and both of us have a good amount in savings.)  However in retrospect, I wouldnt have changed a thing, it was perfect for us.  If you're looking for a number for comparison, feel free to PM me

What has gotten us is the cost of the little things that you don't factor in.  We spent almost 8,000 just on the little items like guest sign-in books, gifts for shower hosts/bridal party, stamps (were 1,000 ouch), alterations, other outfits for showers/rehearsal dinners, thank you cards, pens, etc.  We stayed within our budget but it seems crazy to spend so much money!  Without the honeymoon and rings we are at 28,000 for wedding and 5,000 for Rehearsal dinner.  Wedding is 240 guests and RD is 80.  This also does not include my wedding dress as I already had it, just had to alter it.

I think our goal was about 15K, but we are closer to 18K.  That does not include honeymoon, but does include rings, dress, ceremony, reception, tips, taxes, invites, all paper DIY...  That's for around 160 people.  We could have more show up.. but it wouldn't increase too significantly.

Originally we were aiming for about 8k but it seems like its making its way to about 10k and my frugal side is having a heart attack. I am however doing everything in my power to keep the number from touching the 10k mark.

We are floating around $12,000 right now, but I'm trying to spend as little as possible...all those little things add up...I was hoping for $8,000-$10,000, but seems unlikely...however we could be doing worse for a guest count of 250...lol..we have gotten some good deals along the way...

We were trying to keep it in the $10k - $12k range, but it looks like it's going to be more like $15k - $17k. Which KILLS me.

If you want the breakdown it's something like this:

200 people invited, probably 175 attending.

Venue - $7,000 (Paid by my dad)

    Food + Booze - $22,000 (Paid by my dad and FI's mom + step-dad)

Photographer - $3000 + $750 we lost to the one we fired.

    DJ - $2000

Flowers - $2700 (Where did that come from?!)

Photobooth - $1400 (If I had only known, this wouldn't be here. Too late now!)

Transportation on the day - $600

    Cake - $350

Dress + Accessories - $1500 (Paid by my mom)

    Suit + Accessories - $500

    Officiant - $850

    Invites + STDs - $1000

Gifts for the attendants - $800

Seeing it all laid out like that totally freaks me out.

We are spending about $2,000 for the day of expenses, however we're also only having 30 people and having a semi-destination wedding with just a formal dinner reception.  No music or dancing, etc.

Too f'ing much! We budgeted $30k, since we're paying for housing the night before and the night off for our wedding party. We're $3k over so far, and that's not even including the pre-event trip to the liquor store, rehearsal dinner, or honeymoon. I'm cutting costs everywhere I can, but the catering costs are killing us.

sbgroom and I really didn't want to spend that much.  Seems so silly to spend SO much on one day.  We were hoping it would stay under $15K, but we're over $25K now (NOT including honeymoon OR rehearsal)!  Yikes! I hate admitting it.

our budget was $30k including our honeymoon... we'll most likely be around $35k after all is said and done.

most of our budget was for the reception (food+venue+liquor) $17K... i've done well on allotting the rest of it on all of the other things... getting good deals, but not sacrificing on quality of what we want :)

To echo others...way too much!! Put it this way...we've already spent over 20K (includes my dress, rings, honeymoon) and the day isn't even here yet!  Still need to add the florist and final payments...I think when it's all said and done it would have cost us upwards of 40K. Ack! so much money!

Apparently, I've been truly blessed because as of now, I'm calculating about $7,000 for my beach wedding. The majority of my costs are food and photography.

We're budgeting $15K, and its a bit too early to know if it will be possible or not.  Are venue costs are going to be realitively high, so if many of my "DIY" plans fall through, we're definitely going to be over!

Also, ours is an intimate wedding, for about 50 or less people!  Lovin' it :)
