See if this helps. We had about 120 at our wedding

3 double barrels of red wine

24 bottles (regular sized) white wine

1 full keg of beer (bud light)

2 large 1.5 liters of vodka (the kind you get at sams club)

2 large 1.5 liters of gin

1 flat of sprite and coke

2 bottles of black raspberry schnapps

2 bottles of blueberry passion fruit schnapps

5 gallon bottles of peach mixer

We ran out with about 30 minutes left of the reception which was perfect. All that was left over was 1 of those large bottles of red and 12 bottles/1 case of the white wine. So, maybe double (and then some?) what I bought. But all we had was gin and tonics, beer, red and white wines, and 2 signature cocktails (blue berry passion fizzes and peach black raspberry martinis)

If you use evite.com there is an alcohol calculator. You also can usually take back with you what is not consumed. We even have a liquor store that is allowing for unopened beer to be returned. For a guest list of 130 (relatively heavy drinkers) our list is:

8 20 packs of Coors Light bottles
6 Cases of Magic Hat #9 bottles
5 Cases of Backfin Ale bottles
5 Cases of Amstel Light bottles

2.5 Cases of Champagne (Ballatore Spumante)
3 Cases of Red Wine (Temptation by Alexander Valley Vineyards)
4 Cases of Reisling (Schmitt Sohne Relax Riesling 2007)

1 Case Vodka (Smirnoff 1L bottles)

I used the drink calculator for evite–typed in number of guests, duration of party, checked what type of alcohol I wanted and "average drinkers"–I’m having 130 guests and bought: 209 bottles of beer/48 bottles of wine/11 bottles of liquor. Anything extra is going to our after party being hosted by a friend.

Have any of you had 300-350 guests all moderate/heavy drinkers? I went on the evite site and 2 other sites, but I still can’t get a realistic grasp on how much I need. I am thinking about having Beer (Heineken/Heineken Light) Wine (Pinot Grigio, Menage a Trois) and Vodka (cheap COSTCO brand). Any suggestions?
