Those are reasonable prices... you have to remember, flowers are EXPENSIVE. I'm paying about $45 per centerpiece for something with orchids, curly willow and tall vases. I gagged at the price at first, but I shopped around and found out that this is reasonable. I even experimented with making my own, and quickly found that that was just too hard. I'm in the SF Bay Area, btw.
Unfortunately that seems pretty reasonable. I am having low centerpeices with some fruit inside and three gerbera daisies and those are $30 each, so I'd imagine once you add in multiple levels w/orchids and hydragena it would get to be $$. The rest of the prices are about what we were quoted. Your centerpieces sound amazing though!
those are good prices!! i'm paying $55 for centerpieces (large tall 24" submerged orchids and mixed flowers on top), $100 each for altar, $100 for brides bouquet, $50 for bridesmaids bouquets, $8 boutonierres. so your prices seem great, but it also depends whereabouts you are. :)
Oh I know that the price is very reasonable. But I have come across many florists that quoted me for the same tall centerpiece 200$. One did not even include the vase!!
those are awesome prices, especially since you're using high end flowers. i don't know how many blooms the florist is planning on using in your centerpieces, but that might be something to discuss with her.
i'm paying an average of 100/centerpiece (curly willow, orchids, mini callas, celosia, snapdragons), 600 for ceremony decor (chuppah pole rental and two arrangements), 175 for the bridal bouquet and 15 for FI's bout. i'm not doing bm bouquets, gm/family bouts, or corsages.
you might want to check out the delivery/set up fee too -- i got quoted 500 at one place and 150 at another.
I know. The delivery and set-up is I believe 150 but I had other places quote me 100 for delivery and 400 to set-up. Ridiculous. Oh and they made me a sample with quite a bunch of flowers and it looked great. So I am okay =). The price for your bouquet and the boutonnieres sound quite high. Are you located in NY?
good! glad to hear it.
i'm outside of philly. the flowers that they're using are on the pricier end (mostly callas and out-of-season flowers), but there hasn't been much discrepancy in the quotes for either the bout or the bouquet. this is one of the reasons we're not going with flowers for the wedding party.
Im paying about 4.50 per centerpiece.
Here is mine

I am making my own and they are coing to come out to about 25 per centerpiece.
I'm also making my own, hoping less than 20 for each one, we will see though!
I'm DIYing our centerpieces. Our country club has mirrors. I ordered navy rose petals (one of our wedding colors) and FMIL bought me lace, glue, votive candle holders and flameless candles. Basically we're creating lace covered candles on a mirror with navy rose petals scattered around. I saw them online and HAD to recreate them! The whole thing has probably cost less than $100 and they look AMAZING!!
I am spending aout $20 per centerpiece most of that cost is because the vases I bought were pricey, but I plan to either sell them after the wedding or use them around the house! You want to see pictures? OK!
I read this thread too quicky and thought someone said there's would cost 25 CENTS! Need to slow down, I guess.
Mine are costing about $45. It's $40 for the flowers, and I purchased the vases myself at thrift stores for between $1-$5 apiece. Then there's going to be 5 votive candles.
I'm DIYing non-floral centerpieces, and it will be about $56 -- but it also does double-duty as part of the favors, so not too shabby. =)
$7.50 (minus 40% in some cases) for the julep cup
$100 for 30 stems of hydrangea from costco.com
spent ~1 hour making them the thursday before our sat wedding.
we spent less than $200 total.
on our small tables i had these- vases dollar tree- cameo dollar tree plus hydrangea.

im paying 34 for my tall centerpieces with calla lilies, white roses, hypernicum berries, and some other accents.
im paying 24 for the short centerpieces with the same flowers
120 for my bouquet
55 for moh's bouquet
45 for the bm's
$8 for bouts, $15 for corsages

I have finished shopping for my flowers but have come across some truly absurd prices for a centerpiece. So I am wondering how much you are spending per centerpiece as this pretty much is the biggest chunk for the flower budget.
This is my breakdown:
65$ for a 3 level tall centerpiece. This includes the vase, white orchids and curly willow submerged in water. First level: white Hydrangeas and green roses. Second level pink tulips and third level curly willow.
38$ for a low centerpiece in a square vase with basically the same flowers
100$ for the bridal bouquet
60$ for bridesmaid bouquets
300$ for 2 altar arrangements and deco on arch
5$ per boutonniere
I have come across florists that wanted to charge me for the same tall centerpiece 200$ and one did not even include the vase. I have the feeling as soon as you say the magic word 'wedding' prices triple
