Do you wear other rings besides your e-ring/wedding band on your ring finger?

How much PTO are you taking off for the wedding?

In 2012 I will be eligible for 3 weeks of PTO. I figure a week of it will be wedding and another week will be honeymoon.

That's exactly what I did.  It was so nice to have off the week of our wedding... I think I would have driven my coworkers insane otherwise!

I am very lucky. I work for a small business and our boss treats us great. I have 3 weeks paid vacation, plus i get paid for having my birthday off, and i get the week from xmas to new years off. Since I am getting married I get an EXTRA paid 5 days off (honeymoon I suppose) so in total I get a total of 25 days off.

I will probably take off 3 days before the wedding and the week after for honeymoon.

we have the monday of the week i'm getting married off, so i'm going to go in for tuesday and maybe wednesday and then take thurs & fri and the following like... monday & tuesday off probably. we're probably not going to have a honeymoon immediately after, so we can build up some more leave and take a longer one.

I dont get PTO, but if I am still here (meaning same job) by the date of the wedding, we usually get  two-three weeks off for Christmas/New Years! So perfect timing! Since our wedding would be the START of my "Christmas vacation". And since we arent taking a Honeymoon until Summer, we will be taking a mini trip for a few days!

I'm taking 2 weeks off before the wedding. After the wedding, I will be moving half-way across the country. Then, Honeymoon 2 weeks later. After our honeymoon, I will THEN start my new job.

Time off total: 5 weeks. I haven't had this much time off since..... before I started working at age 14?! Haha! Can't wait!

Yeah, I'll probably have a lot of work to catch up on but whatever! I know my sister will be taking the wedding week off to probably keep me sane.

I'm totally lucking out with the timing of our wedding and honeymoon. My anniversary date at work is October 23rd which is when my PTO reloads. Our wedding is on October 7th so I will be taking either 4-5 days off for that using 2011 vacation time. Two weeks later, on October 22nd (which is a Saturday), we leave for our honeymoon for a week so I'll be able to use 2012 vacation for that.

If I had to save up the majority of one years vacation time to be used for our wedding/honeymoon, it would have made for a miserable year at work.

I also didn't take any vacation at the end of 2010 so I could "cash out" my vacation in 2011 because we can't roll it over. I'm using that towards the wedding fund.

We're going to try to time the wedding so it's no more than a month after I graduate college; that way the whole thing will be over and done with before I start at a new job. Theorhetically, of course.

We only get 10 days off a year. I worked some extra hours to get some extra days and I used almost ALL of them for the wedding. I wish I had more time off, I cut it pretty close :(

I'm taking at least 10 days but haven't decided if it will be more. Most of it is for the honeymoon though

I'm only taking 3 days off, but I am a teacher.  I'm taking the Weds-Fri before the wedding off.  We will be married on a Saturday, and the following week is our Feb vacation.  We're planning a mini-moon at a bed and breakfast the two nights following the wedding.  Then we are taking our REAL honeymoon to Hawaii in July when I have the summer off.  It's quite convenient to plan around a teacher's schedule!

@trulyblessed: Our honeymoon will be during 4th of July so one less day to take off! Score! We'll probably take off 2.5 weeks. 3 days before the wedding, 10 day honeymoon, plus a few days to recuperate at home before returning to work.

Wow - completely different in Australia obviously! We get 4 weeks of leave (20 days) and we can roll that over and a new law allows us to "cash-in" a MAX of 2 weeks of that and ONLY if we have more than 2 weeks remaining on our leave!

Anyway, I am taking off the week before the wedding and 2 weeks after for our honeymoon!

3 days total.  Getting married on a Sunday, taking half a day Thursday and all day Friday, then all day monday and half a day tuesday.

I earn leave every pay period, but we don't get maternity leave so I rarely use leave to ensure I will always carry over the max.  SO is deploying, so I'll probably take a week off when he is home before he deploys but that isn't after the wedding right away.

@peaches13 I'm on the school schedule too!  yay for summers!

I'm sure I will still feel overwhelmed even though I'll have a month before my wedding to prepare.  I commend all of you who have less time than that.. it's amazing!

I'm taking 7 days.  I'll be taking off the Thursday and Friday before and then the whole week after.  Technically it'll feel like more though because since I work the night shift I'll be off work at 8am on Wednesday.

I'm kinda getting screwed, but it's my own fault.

I just started a new job in September, and we do get 3 weeks of paid vacation every year, BUT we can't use it till we've been working for a year.  So, I have to take unpaid time off which MAJORLY sucks.  Originally, I was planning on just taking a few days off, but FI already has off because it's his spring break, and we are fine financially to do it... it just sucks.

Ugh 2 days before, maybe 3. I'm a teacher and we kind of had to plan our wedding during the school year, so I'll be using all my personal days for the wedding. We'll be doing the honeymoon a few months later.

I was just trying to figure out today what to take off.  I was going to take the Friday before my Sat wedding, and then the week after for our 3 day honeymoon, plus a few days.

I am surprised how many are taking the week before the wedding- can I ask why?  I thought about taking off more time before, but I am not doing any DIY projects (cause I suck at them) and I am afraid I would just sit around and get myself all worked up and worried.  I think work will help keep me from freaking out cause it will give me bigger things to focus on?  I hope so.

@edgypeanuts: I know for me it's because I'm doing DIY flowers and they will probably get there Thursday morning. Also, a lot of my family is his family will be arriving in town.

I had no time off at all, which sucked--I had to give two presentations (as part of my finals) the day before we got married. Then, back to school the Monday after our wedding for more final exams. Yuuuuuuck. That's what I get for still being in school, I guess. Can't wait to have a job with PTO!

I took off both the week before the wedding (to deal with last minute crap) and the week after (to deal with the trials and tribulations of sitting by the beach or getting a drink from the swim-up bar). I also took off the Monday after we returned from our honeymoon, to deal with the fact that some sort of wedding hurricane had destroyed our apartment.

Since I'm a nurse, I am working the Sunday, Monday, Tuesday of the wedding week and having wed-sat off. And then just taking the next week off.
