I think I have a little less than $5,000 now. I’m just going to pay it off in full at this point.

Private law school and a private MBA = $120k; I’ve got it down to $90k now, but still work to be done.

I’m lucky to have absolutely no undergraduate or graduate school loans.  However I married a man with about $9k of undergraduate student loans, and oh yeah….medical school loans as well.  After this first semester, we’ve already racked up about $30k in medical school loan debt.  After 4 years it will be about $200k total.  Thank god for income-based loan repayment for physicians and loan forgiveness for doctors who do their residencies at a public teaching hospital.  Whew!

I was lucky enough to get 3/4 of my bachelors done at a community college and the other from a university. So no loans. I’m a huge advocate for community colleges lol.

I was somewhere around 20k until I decided to go back to school.  4 more semesters at around 5K a semester, I’d rather not add it up in my head (even though I can).

I’m right around 15k.  Only federal loans.  7 years left to go.

~$42k, and it’s currently in income-based repayments (meaning I currently pay $0) because I make shit for money. Fat lot of good my degree did me.

None until I went back to school. Now I have about $20k. FI has about $150k. We will never finish paying it off.

I am finishing a master’s in a field that makes us agree not to hold a job over 10 hrs. a week (seriously, they have meetings about it) while you are in, as a result, I have had to take cost of living loans.  I am somewhere between 50-80k in debt Yell

None. Paying it off was the top priority out of school for both me and FI and we kept our lifestyles really low, like we were still in college and living on next to nothing, to do so.

I am down to $36k from over $100k.

I never thought I would pay it off, but bit by bit, I’ve chipped away at it. $36k is still a ton, but I’m so thrilled to have already paid down over $70k of this infernal thing. I’m hoping to have the rest paid off within a year and a half. YES!!!!!

None for me. I actually came out of school with money. A note to all your parents: Start a 529 College Savings Plan. My mom and dad started one when I was born, and by the time I was ready to head off, it was more than enough to cover everything. I also did pick a school that gave me a full scholarship, so my parents were able to use the 529 to pay for rent, books, and other college-related fees.

Seriously… start a savings plan. It was the best decision my parents made. Well, except to have another child… aka me 🙂
