Just wondering how many days off before the wedding people are taking from work. I took 3 days. Is that enough??

That's what I'm doing - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off.

Unless you're doing your own flowers or some other major part of the decorating, I think that's more than enough time.  I've even debated only taking 2 days off before.

I only took off the day before (Friday) and it was fine. I didn't really have a lot of last minute projects going on, so there wasn't really a need to take more time off, plus I wanted to use my vacation days for my honeymoon!

I'm getting married on a Sunday, only taking off that Friday before.  So 2 days for me.

I'm just taking the thursday and friday off before my saturday wedding. Realistically everything should be done by then, and if it's not I'll probably just scrap it.

My wedding is on a Friday and I'm working that Monday but taking the rest of the week off. I think 3 days is plenty as long as you don't have a ridiculous amount of stuff to get done. My goal is to have everything done and packed a week before the wedding so I can spend the days leading up to the big day just relaxing and getting pampered.

I'm getting married on a Sunday and I will be taking Thursday and Friday off. Since I'll already have Saturday off that'll give me 3 days.

2 weeks but that is because I am officially done with work on Friday (laid off).  I have planning across country so it will be nice to be "on location" for 2 weeks to finish projects without a time crunch.

Otherwise I was planning to fly home a week early, work the first two days from hmoe and take 3 days off prior.  I do have DIY projects I need to do.

We'll probably end up taking off the Thursday and the Friday before, but we may also just take off the Friday.

I'll likely only take 2 days before the wedding.  The wedding is AT my job, and we live 3 minutes away, so not too much to worry about there.  If it wasn't for the whirlwind that is my mother I would feel confident working with only taking the day before off, but i'll need another day to reign her in (and whatever boxes of nonsense she brings over from her house).

No huge DIYs here, just some minor decor which I'll be doing the day before with some help.

We will be taking off at least the Thursday/Friday before off (Saturday wedding) depending on where we use our other vacay time we might use a bit more (we have to travel for the wedding so we haven't finalized anything yet).

I'm planning on taking the Friday before off.  We can do the decorating the day/night before and early the next day. I'll probably have all the DIY stuff done LONG before then, so the only thing to worry with will be the food.

I'm taking a week before but that is because it is going to take one whole day to get there. Then I'll have time to do last minute things as well as visit and relax before hand. We aren't taking a holiday this year, so this is our holiday, might as well make the most of it. I also have the whole week off after!

I took a full week but I did all of my planning long-distance and needed to be on-location for some final last minute things.

Plus - all of my wedding dress alterations were happening that week at home (aka near the wedding) so I kind of had to be in town for that too!

I took 1/2 day on Wed, and all TH and Friday (thanks to the hive!) but I really wish I took the whole week off.  There was an unexpected family emergency two weekend before the wedding and I lost that entire weekend to do things.  That set me back and I would have loved the extra days to get things done.  I literally got about 2-3 hours of sleep in those nights before and while I loved the rush ... it would have felt better to feel like less of a chicken with her head cut off!

I'm quitting my job a month before the wedding. Not only to get the last wedding details together but because I'm also moving to New York the day after, so I have to plan that as well, ship stuff, and pack!

Wow, um, I'm only taking off the Friday before my Saturday wedding.  Would've taken off more, but I'm using a lot of my Vacation time on a trip with my family the month prior.

FH and I are doing a ceremony with just us on the beach but we have to drive 2 hours to get to Sunset Beach so we're taking off Friday only and leaving Thursday night after work for the hotel. We want all of Friday to relax, do some sight seeing, make sure we have everything and just enjoy the beach before Saturday. We're coming home Monday morning so we have an entire day there after the ceremony too and then we have Monday to get settled back home and ready for work on Tuesday

I am taking Weds, Thurs, and Friday off before and Monday after. I am doing my own flowers and they will be here on that Weds so I wanted to be able to strip them down and prep them well in advance.

Currently I'm planning on none, directly before.  Friday is a holiday and we are getting married on Sunday, so I will have 2 days off before hand.  I think I am taking 11 days pto for the honeymoon, but I will be out of the office for almost 3 weeks total factoring in paid holidays.

Since we live 500 miles away from where we're getting married, I'll be taking a week off before the wedding. This is mostly because we're doing all of the decor and food, etc.

Also, FI and his GM want to do a bachelor party the wednesday before, so we wanted to have time before that to help set up as well. Plus, it'll be nice to not be driving 500 miles a few days before the wedding!

Well, I don't really count... I'm in school and my semester ends May 7, so I'll have about a month off before the wedding.  FH only took Friday (the day before the wedding) off, though.  I start school again June 27th, though.

I'm taking the month of July off!

Carried over too many vacation days years prior, boss said I needed to take more time off this year......so, 5 weeks (taking end of June too) and 2 at Christmas, lol.

It will be 13 days off prior, but...I plan on being at the cottage leading up to it, will come back the Wednesday before to get into wedding gear!

Im getting married on a Thursday, taking a 1/2 day the Tuesady of that week adn off Wednesday. Because of the nature of my job (i work with people) it will still keep going on even when im not there so i felt it was best not to take off too much time befoer so ill be able to relax afterwards. If i had it my way id take the whole month off :)

Nadda, the perks of being a June bride and a teacher! Kingy is taking a day off for his bachelor party, working from home (except for client meetings) as much as he can the week of the wedding, because his buddies will be in town, and taking a week off for our honeymoon.

    I'm taking the week.

But I work thirds and I work Monday-Thursday nights. Just thought it would be kind of pointless to work Monday night.

Plus I want to be well rested that week!
