Up to 2 oz is 65 cents, I believe. Up to 3 oz is 85 cents. Up to 3.5 oz is $1.05. Heavier than that becomes a parcel and different pricing applies.

Odd shapes or very rigid things inside of the envelope will drive the price up higher. Those prices also assume that your invite falls within the size guidelines for a letter.

There’s a pricing grid you can download on this page for first-class mail: https://www.usps.com/ship/first-class.htm

We have different numbers of rsvp cards in each invitation. So our invitations range from $1.05 to $1.95 for the heaviest.

I just got mine weighted. Weight alone only needed .65 but because of the bag they are in and the twin knot holding them together it jumped to 1.10!  Good thing I was planning for that or I would have been really sad.

Shape and weight all play a role.  I would aslo recomend going to two different post office to get their opinion.  The first PO I went to told me .85, the second told me 1.10.  I went with the 1.10 because I didn’t want to risk having them sent back or lost. He also explained why they were 1.10 which made sense–I just didn’t want to risk it.
