It seems like alot but we mainly registered for smaller items. We already have many of the big items such as furniture but we need a lot of little things like baking sheets, glasses, matching dishes :D etc.
We did Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and also Williams Sonoma *mainly for exlusive gadgets and cookbooks*
We didn't register for a lot of things because we didn't need a lot of stuff and didn't have a lot of guests attending the wedding.
We are inviting about 130 people and will have two bridal showers. We already live together so we don't really need a ton but it might be nice to upgrade in some areas and get new things that actually match instead of what I bought when I went to college.
I think our list looks huge when you look at the number but not when you look at the factor that you register for multiple towels and what not.
We registered for a lot, but only because I hate looking a couple's registry only to find they've listed 10-20 things. We're inviting 100-150 people and registered for almost 100 things, from $5 to $200.
@ starrynight I totally agree about looking at a registry with nothing on it! My Fin is in a wedding in a month and they regisitered for maybe 30-40 things and have multiple showers and almost 200 guest. I told him we are buying the gift early because of the lack of options. I think not giving options of what you like means you get stuff you don't like.
yes we had about 200 various items almost all under $30 except for a few things such as wine rack and pots and pans. We're inviting about 300 to the wedding but no showers before though.
I also like a registry with items from different rooms. Bathroom -- matching rugs/holders and such; Bedroom -- pillows, maybe a clock, bedding, a throw; Family/Living Room -- picture frames, candles, even dvd's and such; Patio -- bistro set, bbq; and the Kitchen items. Vacuum and maybe even some tools for the handyperson of the house. All's good.
i dont even know what to register for! I mean we have a house already together and have pretty much everything we need... thought nice dishes, linens etc, things like would be nice.
but what other things would you put on there? and what is NOT appropriate to put on there? since we have alot of things already, maybe this is where a honeymoon registery comes in??
uhhhh so lost!
@ LNT We live together as well. Once we started the registry it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. We just went room to room and thought about what we would really like to upgrade or change out in the house. We didnt register for everything that other people would that are starting new but we did get a new bathroom set and bedding and some new pots and other things in the kitchen. He registered for tools and yard stuff.
