How much were their dresses? Are they flying in from out of town? I spent about $80 but that included their dresses.
I always felt like you should factor in what they spend on you. If they buy a $200 dress, you should buy them nice gifts or something really personal. I made a lot of my gifts, but, i also got them their dresses and told them they could buy whatever shoes they wanted in nude or gold. They all got them for like $20/pair and they had full reign.
No bridesmaid wants to spend $400 when it's all said and done and get a $20 keychain
OO i did see one bride who did this (now i wish i had). They were sterling silver bangle bracelets with messages engraved on the inside for the girls. A silver bangle (a quality, nice one) is a classic addition to any girls' wardrobe.
The dresses that they're buying came out to $120 and they can wear whatever shoes they have - most of the girls said they have shoes already for it. They can also do their own hair (they're all fabulous at it), so they probably wont' spend extra there. And they all live in town.
I was thinking of matching necklaces (but trendy enough that they'd continue to wear them - we all have similar taste, which is nice), and a scarf (the wedding's in Februrary). Is that too "cheap"?
That sounds nice, esp. if you all have similar tastes. The last wedding I was in, the bride gave us all out wedding day jewelry but since her and I have very different tastes, I've never worn the necklace, bracelet or earrings again. It was a similar situation, we paid about $100 for our dresses, could wear any black shoes and all lived in town (except her cousin). i guess if I had liked the jewelry, it would have reminded me of the wedding each time I wore it and been a nice keepsake.
I loooove nice pashminas. You can get them one in their favorite colors (so they don't have to wear them at the wedding and all match, but i love those things) and they're classy, timeless, and if you get the quality ones, that'd be all you need!
I'm thinking i might get them clutch purses and fill them up for the day (with mints, bobbypints, tide to go pens, tissues, etc.) I really like the ones from Etsy seller ViaBella

I have no idea how much to spend on Bridesmaids gifts. I have six girls and I already put $15 towards the cost of each of their BM dress (it's a service the bridal store provides).
I seriously have NO idea how much more to spend.
