Hi Bees! I am trying to guage an average price for bridal sashes/belts. I’m not really sure what I should expect to pay for a heavily beaded sash (around 2 inches wide). I’d love to know how much yours was, and even better if you can post a pic!

Bridal sashes/belts can be really expensive! I found one that went perfectly with my dress, I loved the style etc. but it was $325 – which was definitely over the budget for a sash. So, I ended up just buying some sash jewellery off Etsy and some material from the fabric store and getting it made. I think in the end I spent about $90 on the belt, so it was a huge savings!
This is the belt I was trying to replicate, except the jewellery I found on Etsy was nicer than on the original belt: http://www.bestbridalprices.com/images/allure/fall2011/large/S18.jpg
Anyways, there are tons of belts on Etsy and eBay as well – and they are definitely more reasaonably priced than the ones you see at the bridal salons.

I only payed $100 for mine, but we got it for wholesale because my mom actually knew the consultant who sold me my dress! I was very lucky:)
The sash was originally $250. It was beaded in this pattern all the way around and has a hook and eye enclosure.

Mine was a little over $400

My mom and I are making mine from rhinestone headbands, so it should be under $50 by the time we buy all the supplies we need.

I don’t like blingy sashes. One I tried on at the bridal store, they refused to let me buy it. Why? It was just a length of pretty ribbon. So, I went and bought my own ribbon. It was 2 bucks for 50 yards.
