    Our cake was $75. In total we paid $135 for all desserts (wedding cake, cheesecake, carrot cake cupcakes, and mini apple and pumpkin pies), delivery, tree stump cake stand, and set-up. Our cake was a simple two tier cake covered in buttercream. The bottom layer was traditional white cake, and the top was spice cake. It was truly the BEST cake I have ever had, delicious and moist. The bakery, which is owned and operated by a husband and wife, was great to work with. Honestly, for what we got and how great they were to work with, I feel the pricing was a bit of a steal.

    Ours was free. My best friend’s mom made us a naked cake as a wedding gift to us 🙂

    $600 for a 4-tier main cake and a themed grooms cake, I think $3.50 per serving. This included delivery/setup, cake stand, tax, and a top tier to take home and freeze.

    I had a specific design I was looking to create, and this was the cheapest option I could find in all of DFW! Totally worth it though, it was PERFECT and we still get compliments on how good our cakes were to this day (and people keep repinning them on Pinterest, which is cool!).

    @luverly7:  $600 for 175 cupcakes, 2 different flavors with 2 different fillings, and small cake for fi and i to cut, delivered and set up.

    If I remember correcty it was around $800.00 including a $50.00 delivery fee (our venue was kind of out there) and the fresh flowers. The cake alone was $600.00ish.

    @luverly7:  $240 for a three tiered buttercream cake.  Three flavours, one of which was gluten-free.  Very simple icing.  Also included delivery which was a good 2 hrs away.

    Ours was just under $500 for a small 3 tier cake and a sheet cake that served 125 people total.  Buttercream design and flowers from our florist (which were about $30).  We really lucked out- the bakery we chose is in a smaller area about an hour and a half north of Seattle, and even though the delivery fee was high ($125) the base price was so much more reasonable that we still spent less than if we had gone with a Seattle bakery!  And we loved their cake; we found the bakery a few years ago on a random trip, so we were so excited when we found out they did wedding cakes too!  THe cake was amazing, and looked beautiful!  I can’t wait until I see our pictures!

    ETA: there was no extra set up fee or cake serving fee from our venue.

    Our cake is 650.00 without tax. Lucky us, my mother wants to buy it for us 🙂

    Mr TTR and I Eloped to a Destination Wedding (just the 2 of us) and after our Honeymoon had a Back Home Reception with Friends & Family… where we tried to include some of the more familiar “Wedding Traditions”… including Cake.

    We went with a well-known highly rated local Baker / Bakery… but chose a very simplistic cake (3 Layers… 12 – 9 – 6) with Buttercream Icing… to which we added our own Cake Topper.

    Total Price $ 225 All-In (Ontario Taxes = 13%).  We picked it up ourselves… heavy, but not unmageable.  And had our Venue do the cutting & serving (FREE).

    Cake would feed either 50 LARGE Portions or 100 REGULAR.  We brought home the smaller top layer, and some leftover cake.

    After shopping around I feel we got a good deal for sure.

    I might have loved the elaborate “Cake Boss” type cakes with all the intricate details, but I wasn’t up to putting out the bucks for them.  You’d be surprised what bit of home-made ingenuity can do… Cake Topper, Ribbon, Flowers, etc can go a long way in making a basic cake look really custom… and at a HUGE savings.

    I believe it was around $1200. But it was 5 tiers of all different flavors.

    Ours for 150 guests is about $750. $4.75 per slice.
