@MsGinkgo:  Ours was just over $1000, which include pre-ceremony music (around 4), ceremony music, cocktail hour music, dinner music, plus reception music until 1:30.  Also included a rehearsal the evening before (for the ceremony).  I’m in Eastern Ontario for reference.

They could also do MC services included in that fee, but we didn’t need it.  But we did use their microphone.

We paid $1700 for our DJ and then an additional $1000 for uplighting (25).

He has no time limit, he is there for however long we wanted/needed him for.

@MsGinkgo:  Mine isnt to far off of yours. I’m paying $725 for 6.5 hours plus it includes lights and a few lazers. Plus things that i love about them is that they only book so many things a night to make sure there is a back up and even if for some reason their back up cant make it either one of them can do it, they have a whole thing set up for online to do a time schedule/all the music you want and want them to announce, and they pick a DJ to be ours by the type of music our want(rap, country, rock, motown, etc)

$1000 but they were friends of friends and I think they did us a favor by charging less than they normally would.  They were AWESOME – visited the venue multiple times to make sure they rented the right equipment and to do sound checks.

We paid $600 for unlimited hours and uplighting.

He was there to set up at noon the day of and played until 11pm.

We got lots of compliments on him!

He was recommended by a friend of a friend – it’s a professional, fully functional business with insurance, back up equipment, etc, but the guy who owns the company has a “regular” 9-5 job during the week, so he can keep his prices low for his DJ business.

SO glad we found him.

I’m lucky FI is a DJ and so he has a lot of friends in the business. One of his friends is charging his brother $400 for his wedding so we are expecting to pay the same. And since he’s a close friend i know he’ll be there as long as we want him to
