I'm wondering what the average bridal wedding band costs. I found one I like but I think my fiance thinks it is too much! :)

I went with plain white gold, so mine was $181. If I had gone the diamond route, I would have spent about $1400 (the one I liked was 3/4 eternity band .80 ctw).
I decided I didn't need this to be a splurge... and I wanted something that would survive the wear and tear of daily life. I'll probably ask for a fat eternity band for some future anniversary;)
This might make you feel better, mine is $4,200 so you can tell your FI it's not too expensive. And no I'm not rich LOL. FI's is just a white cold band and it's costing $800.
Well, mine came with the engagement ring, so sort of $0? I just looked it up on the store's website, and it looks like if you buy it alone, it's 300-350.
Ugh, mine was way too much! About $2500, but the band that matched my e-ring was $5700, so I felt like the one I got was a good deal. And the hubs only got a $99 tungston ring, so I like to think that his budget savings was my budget gain. Plus, I paid for it with my company bonus, so it didn't come out of our budget.
We're still choosing mine, but it'll be around $1,000 - $1,500 -- also platinum, but we're getting it online to save some money (local stores charge a FORTUNE for it!). Plus, online we save on taxes too, which can really add up!
Mine was $300, still paid too much, but it is appraised at $1500.
Jewelry is so evil (price wise). I just mean- if I took it apart it would be worth about $20 in gold. Sorry to sound like a downer...
totally depends on the style, with or without jewels & the metal! mine is platinum with pave diamonds and costs $2600.
Mine is a suuuuuper-thin (1.5 mm) rose-gold, diamond eternity band and it cost $450.
However, bc I also got a gold band (plain) from my FIL's, I went for a very low-key second band. If I were to only have bought one band, the ones I were looking at were more like, $900-$1200...
I fell in LOOOOVE with one that's $3800 BUT I think I can get it made from a small 47th St vendor for closer to $1000. Will be getting my quote this weekend!
$4,660 for my band....FI's band is 2k...i had to TALK him into a platinum band, since he was paying so much for mine! oh, and mine is platinum as well!
My band was about $595. It's a carat of small diamonds in 14k white gold. FH's band was a little over $1000. His is 14k white gold and meteorite, by designer John Biagiotti.
My budget is $1000, but I found a ring i love for $2155. Only time will tell.... :)
Mine is going to be $1200 from Brilliant Earth -- reclaimed platinum plus 1/4 carat of Canadian channel-set diamonds. I am in LOVE :-)
FI is still on the hunt for his, but right now he it completely enamored with a really awesome modern design from Stuart Moore. The down side? It costs about $5000. Yikes! Who would have thought that a man's wedding band could cost so much?!
my ring was a set, the e ring and the wedding band together were about 2k. But the e-ring was the really expensive part, so I voted >$500
Mine has 10 small diamond on a band. White gold. $425 @ diamonds direct.
We got silver ones for about $50 apiece, but I'll be upgrading to a 5 stone shortly after that. I want to keep it under 2k.
Mine will be between $800 and $1500 depending on what I go with for a platinum micropave super thin band. They say platinum doubles the price. I've seen awesome similar rings for betweeen $250 and $400 in white gold.
@sarahsd- doesn't that suck? I need a plat band to go with my plat ring bc I don't want to get the soldered (sp??) but the platinum bands seem ridiculously priced to me.
It will completely depend if I get one band or two... Still undecided.
my wedding bands were both 800 dollars a piece, but we got them from jensens when they did the... bring in a ring get one half off... so we ended up only paying for one band but went home with two!!!
@twalila which band did you fall in love with? What vendor is getting done for you? I also fell in love with a $3,800 band! (Ah, the Michael B Lace Collection...)
We just purchased my band. It was $1900 for a thin platnium Tacori band with tiny diamonds on it. only .14 tcw but I love how it looks with my engagement ring.
Macy's never lets me down! It was $650, originally $1,500. It was 50% off and we got an extra 20% off because it was during their Easter sale. It's a white gold band with 0.5 tcw diamonds in a channel setting.
We're budgeting about $200 for each of our bands and we're buying from Etsy. Right now it looks like we might be getting FI's from Minterundrichter, but we'll see. Haven't decided on mine just yet.
We have a $1000 budget for both of our rings, so mine will be less than $500.
Mine is $2500 (Hearts on Fire pave eternity band, white gold) aka waaay too much. But it matches my e-ring and FI wanted me to have the matching one.
LOL....I thought you meant wedding band...like music band...LOL....oops...I was wondering where all you girls got such a great deal, I'm paying $3k for mine for 6hrs and thought I got a great deal! lol
we got plain white gold for me and yellow gold for him.. =/... i didnt really like the idea but i dont like yellow gold and vice versa!.. anyways... mine was 400 and his was 300. or something like that. but i will be getting a half eternity for the other side as my wedding gift that will cost $500.. =D (we were told to go on mother's day for an AWESOME sale)
At first I've chosen the 2.300 dollars wedding band. With 8 channel set diamonds .90 total carat weight. But I didnt like the width - 5 mm.
But then I thought to keep my e-ring the only shining star :)
I will have a low-dome simple wedding band 2,5 mm width. I found what I wanted on Bluenile.com
we are doing plainwhite gold bands... so def the lower price point.
Mine cost $200 for a plain, comfort fit white gold band. My husband's cost about $800 with a palladium band.
i'm only having one ring for ering/wedding ring and it is in the last category, but i didn't want to skew your poll since that's not the norm.
