@krissycake...HOW? Oh, HOW did you do this? Saw your pictures, everything looked beautiful. I couldn't even get my venue/food/bar for that much let alone everything else.
I clicked $5K and under. He and I are quite cheap and proud to say it.LOL. BUT if I can't find a nice venue in that price range-have my heart set on http://hazlehursthouse.net/ , then we'll ad a little more, but NOTHING over $10K for honeymoon,rings and wedding.
I'm not married yet or engaged yet (although hopefully that chnages in the near future, haha) my boyfriend and i already know we cant afford anything too elaborate but i think were more simple anyway. id like to have 10k and even then come in under budgent (although i'd probably end up spending more). my parents only spent $400 on their wedding!
I am praying our's comes out under 30k. I'm having a desination wedding in Hawaii and we are going out there for 10 days with my 2 toddlers. I'm also flying in and housing all 15 of our guest for 5 days. That alone is 10k of my budget. Add in the food/drinks/going out that another 10K of the budget. So it really a combo wedding/vacation/honeymoon. The good thing is since friends there they can all take turns watching the kids so we can do things ! I just hope it doesnt cost more !
Ours is at 14,500 including rings but not honeymoon. I said 10 but only went over by probably 5,000 when it's all said and done. I guess thats not too bad...but to me it's still alot. The average wedding in my area is 10,000.
Ours is coming in right around 10-11k including the rings & reception food (the two biggest expenses). Add in the honeymoon and it might be another 1k thanks to airline costs to Spain and buying remaining required 'points' for a timeshare his parents are letting us use.
