I like it!  I wouldn’t worry too much about when it came out… no one is going to know.  I wouldn’t pay more then half the retail price.

I wouldn’t pay more than $300, but I know others who would pay more. Well I take that back, if it was an Eve of Milady dress I’d pay up to $1k.

I paid $200 (including tax and shipping) for my “pre-loved” Mori Lee 5108 dress that retails for $650.

I think that dress is sooo beautiful! So romantic 🙂

Mrs.Z.:  Gorgeous dress, but I think it depends on how many times the dress has been worn before, if it was altered before, and how much you’ll need to alter it to fit you.  I know that my cousin (10 years ago now) got married in a used dress, bought it for $100! And had to get some alterations done, but she really scored a deal.  I don;t think it was a designer or name brand dress so that may have been why she got it so low.  For me, I wouldn’t pay anymore than $500 if I had to alter it to fit me and if it had been significantly altered to fit the previous person.

I happily paid around a third of the retail price (plus shipping) for my VW sample, and I know that other brides are selling their second-hand VWs for 30-60% off. I’m thinking wedding dresses are like cars – once you drive a brand new car out of the showroom, it knocks thousands off the price. As there’s generally not a lot of “wear and tear” with an item you typically wear once, you could probably re-sell your second-hand or sample dress for around the same price you paid for it. Just make sure you get all of the original receipts/dress bags etc from the seller if you intend to do this!

By the way, it’s a beautiful dress .. floaty and gorgeous. Best of luck in your search!

My dress is 2500 fuller price. I paid 1000 second hand. For your dress I wouldn’t pay more than 800.

I would pay less than half.  My reasoning is that if you pay more than half, the other bride would have paid less than you for a brand new dress!

Mrs.Z.:  I would probably feel comfortable paying 50-60% of what it would cost new. I absolutely love that gown and do not feel like it is dated at all!

Maybe half for altered. If you do sell, try to post what measurements it’s been altered to, so people can be more sure of fit.

I love the dress, I think it’s gorgeous. I don’t think it would look dated at all.  I was told quite often by dress shops etc. you would expect to pay half price for a second hand gown.
