I’m going to look at some used Items today and since its through a friend of a friend I’m sure prices are negotiable. I just don’t want to pay too much or pay too little. I want it to be a good deal for both of us.
What would you pay for….
Fisher price butterfly cradle swing. purchased this past December? – this is the one item I don’t want to get screwed on because if it quits working after a month, I can’t return it?
A used bouncey?
and what would you pay per item for used baby clothes?
any thoughts would be appreciated!! Thanks!

I think the clothes are like target and kohls brands… and I’m sure they are in good condition

For baby clothes, especially since many have stains, usually .50-$1 is a garage sale price especially if it’s only target or kohls.
Cradle swings usually run around $150, so I would say $50 is VERY reasonable, you could probably go even a little lower. You should never expect to pay half of what they paid now that it’s used. Usually less than half.
I’m not sure on the prices of bounceys. Good luck!

I bought a used cradle swing (it was a couple of years old, but in good condition) for $25 and my bouncy seat for $15. I haven’t bought any clothes, but I agree with the $.50/$1 range. And remember you will probably get a lot of clothes at your shower too so I wouldn’t buy anything newborn

thanks! I ended up getting over 150 peices of clothing, 11 pairs of shoes, a snow suit for this winter, 10ish headbands, a cradle swing, a bouncey, a bumbo with a tray, a carseat cover, a floor play mat, and a floor garden… for 150 dollars… I’d say I got a pretty good deal, I’m actually feeling a little guilty. I didn’t realize how much was there and she just wanted me to make an offer for everything so I just said 150 and she agreed.

Wow! Sounds like you did well, I wouldn’t feel guilty, if she wanted more she would have asked for more!

@dj: If she thought she deserved more for it, she would have asked for more – don’t feel bad!
