I’d prefer to spend under $50 but would go up to $80.

If you’re n the market for one, look at Modcloth! So many beautiful rehearsal dinner-type dresses there.

@loveinthelibrary:  I said less than $50 but that’s because I’m planning to find a dress I can wear to both the shower and rehearsal dinner and I’ve got a $75 gift card to Macy’s so I’m targeting that store.  With their spring sales, and that gift card I’ll come out at less than $50.  But retail-wise, it’ll probably be around $100.  If I had to pay cash for it, I would find something cheaper.

@loveinthelibrary:  I will be having a pretty casual rehearshal dinner (and we are on a serious budget) so not much.  There is a dress I realllllly want but wouldn’t probably have any other time to wear it (other than maybe our honeymoon) and I am struggling with if I should buy it.  It’s $50.

I wore the same dress to my shower and rehearsal. It was about $30.

Mine was $175ish, but I liked the dress in general and will wear it quite a bit. Its a dress I probably would have bought even if I wasn’t shopping for my rehearsal dinner. If it was just a one-time wear then I wouldn’t spend much.

I want to get an eshatki dress for either the rehearsal or shower, so between $50-100 most likely

If I was having the type of wedding that required a rehearsal dinner, I would just wear jeans and a t-shirt. And the dinner would probably be at a pizza place or someone’s house.

How about $0?  Because of the number of out-of-town members of the bridal party, we’ve had to split the rehearsal up; some of us will be rehearsing on Friday evening.  The remainder (my BM, the readers, the groomsmen) will rehearse on Sunday morning prior to the ceremony.  With all that going on, I’ll be lucky to throw on a decent pair of yoga pants and some slaps.

We’re having a formal sit down wedding rehearsal dinner so I bought a dress for $140 but I ended up paying $100 for it.

I’m thinking of spending 50-100, and hoping I can go shopping with my lovely, very generous FMIL and maybe she’ll pay for it 😛

But she bought my dress for our engagement party, and it was like $200! So if that happens it could very well be around that.

I wore a dress I already had in my closet.  No one knows everything in my closet, and it wouldn’t have bothered me if someone thought that they recognized the dress from a time I wore it previously.
