I am thinking about donating my dress to this cause because my mother had breast cancer.  Also I’m not really attached to my dress, so I don’t think I will be saving it for my children or for sentiment.

That’s how I bought my dress 2 years ago.  I wasn’t absolutely in love with my dress, but I knew it flattered me and had features that I really liked.  I liked supporting the cause and didn’t see anything that I loved AND that flattered my body type.  I took it to a local alterations shop and it was only $100 for alterations.  Granted, photos are forever, but the dress flattered me, so that worked.  PLUS a year after the wedding when I asked Darling Husband if he knew if my dress had sleeves, he didn’t remember!

It’s really hard to say. The one that they had scheduled for Spring 11 in Atlanta, GA was cancelled and rescheduled for Fall 11. However, they were unsure as to when they would be having it. I don’t think that the dates are ever set in stone, so if you have an opportunity to go, I would go, if for nothing but the experience. That’s where I purchased my dress, by the way.
