My friend recently told me that she and her husband are intimate 3 times a day. It just got me wondering how often other couples are intimate?
NOTE: This thread is all for fun. If you are practicing abstinence, I am happy for you and your decision but please do not launch any personal attacks.

To me, half the fun is the spontaneity.
SO and I are abstaining until we're engaged. Hopefully that'll happen sooner rather than later!
We're abstaining. That seems like a lot of sex and sounds actually painful and extremely tiring.
Three times a day, like, everyday? Wowsa!
We're so busy that we probably get around to it from one to three times a week, depending on energy and schedule..
We spoke about this before we got married. We both know that over time, the numbers will go down (like when we have a newborn) but we try for 3-4 times a week. Some weeks its less and some weeks it more (for various reasons) but its nice to have a general idea of what both people are expecting. 
If its the weekend I can understand 3 times a day but during the work week, um wouldnt be possible for us. Between DH working 12 hr days and my school thats just crazy. My DH and I are 'active' about everyday sometime twice a day
This reminds me of the episode of Golden Girls where Rose tells Blanche and Dorothy that she and her husband had intercourse every morning before they got up and every night when they went to bed. She said they had really shiny hair. It just completely surprised and intrigued Blanche.
It just depends on how busy our week is - on average probably 2x a week. When we are on vacation it is 3x a day!
Once a week works for us. Sometimes I think one or the other of us would like it to be more often, but I value sleep much more than sex.
I picked 3-4 times a week only because 2x a week wasn't an option.

We used to 3 or 4 times a week. Both of us were pretty busy and we didn't get a whole lot of time together. FH got laid off and I'm the only one working, so of course it didn't happen much because I was usually way too tired.
Now, FH is looking for another job, and he's found one. Several hours away. By several, I mean 6. So, we may not have much sex again until we get married.
About once a day... 3x a day sounded normal when we first started dating in college and didn't have fulltime jobs!
I said once a week, but most of the time it is more depending on our schedules. Most of the time we work opposites so it gets hard when we don't see each other. lol.
3-4 times a week...sometimes more , sometimes less but thats about the average - we used to do it several times a day when we were first dating (like for the first year almost) but we just dont have the time or energy!
Haha, the OP reminds me of Bree in Desperate Housewives and her "John Wayne walk" in the last episode :D
Because we are so on different schedules right now it is about once or twice a week. But I don't know, physically it would be painful for me to be doing it about 3-4 times/day.
We're abstaining till we're married, but we've talked about afterwards and are just going to see what happens! We're aiming for several times a week, but we've talked too about how sometimes it will be more, sometimes less. Our schedules are busy, but not so busy that it'll keep us from doing it! ;-)
about 2-3 times a week...depends on our work schedules and how busy our weekends are ;) Yeah when we first started dating it was like every day twice a day...but we dont have the time or energy for that anymore!

He was my first and initially I wanted to wait until after I got married, but you know how that goes (sometimes). With the wedding coming up I told him that I wanted to wait until the wedding so the honeymoon would be "special". This was my idea because I wanted our wedding night to be a little more intimate.

We're 2-3 times a week normally which I'd say is pretty good since DH travels for work and is only home Thursday evening - Monday morning.
Once a day should be an option on the poll too - that's where we are and have been for two years (with very few exceptions like travel or illness). We make it a priority to really connect and have that intimacy every day, usually before bed.
I voted about once a week, it's sometimes been less because I've been sick for a few months and I'm not always feeling up to it but I am getting better so that number has been slowly rising. I'm looking forward to a normal sex life, and god bless my SO he's been so patient with me.
Twice a day, but it would be more if I had my way. Mr.G jokes that I need a concubine on the side to keep me satisfied, as he's no spring chicken anymore lol
FI and I do the deed every day. If we're on vacation, it's the summer time, or we're home on the weekend we average about 3x a day or more. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner ladies! lol.
We're intimate 1-2 times a day. We make it a priority to do it at least once (mostly before bed), though sometimes someone is sick/really tired, and it doesn't happen. We do it twice a day about 3-4 times a week--sometimes in the morning or sometimes right before dinner. On the weekends, we definitely do it at least twice, sometimes 3 times.
Man you ladies are impressive! We manage about 1x a week, but I would like to do it more often than that. But he stays up later than I do and I get up earlier so all that seems to go on in the bedroom is sleeping. Boo!
Wow! Some of these answers are impressive lol. For everyone who does it once a day or multiple times a day, what does your schedule look like?!
DH works nights Mon-Thurs so he is gone from 7am-10pm. So by the time he gets home and showers usually we are both exhausted. We aim for 2-3 a week. While it doesn't seem like that much once life gets busy we don't always see each other or stay awake every day lol
@roxy821: In the morning before we get up and at night before bed.... or sometimes in the afternoon depending on traffic!
Well, since we're TTC about 3-4 times a week. It does make for good sleep!
