My dog is an inside dog. Unless he gets really muddy (like at a dog park or something, but I try not to take him when he’ll get dirty) he only gets a bath maybe every 3-4 months. He has pretty sensitive skin so I try not to mess with it too much.

Our dogs are groomed monthly. They are inside pups.

hm… I was surprised by your poll options (that every other month was the longest span) so I googled and I guess you are supposed to wash inside dogs about once a month! I had no idea honestly. When I was growing up we only washed our dog like once a year lol. Our dog never smells at all, and he doesn’t sleep in our bed, so I just don’t really think of it much. But now that I know I think I”ll probably step it up and try to wash him monthly.

Our dog is an inside dog, but she goes outside many times a day to pee. She has long fur and gets grass in it constantly. She likes mud too, so she gets bathed every other week or so.

our pooch is bathed once a week. She’s an inside dog, pitbull so very short hair. She sleeps in the bed with us, on the sofa, & is regularly at work with my FI so she can’t be smellin all stanky….

Only if she smells or gets muddy or something.  I was just thinking about this because she stinks after our hike today.  I HATE washing her however, because she hates it and it makes her look so sad 🙁  Probably not as often as I should!  But she is a hyper clean dog, she is pure white with short hair and keeps herself as clean as possible.

Every 2 weeks.  Any more would be bad for her skin because of her allergies but she gets prettttty stinky!

i wash my puppy and my two cats once a week, if they have gone outside. If they have decided to stay inside i might push it to two weeks

I have a dog that’s very high maintenance, grooming wise, and it’s a pain. I adopted him because I totally fell for him and we clicked, but I admit that brushing him daily is so ugh, especially since he doesn’t like it and squirms and tries to get away. I bathe him once every 3-4 weeks depending on how dirty he gets. He’s indoors. Do people still keep dogs outside?

He’s an indoor dog and I generally bathe him once a week. Not because he stinks, but because he sheds SO bad, and I’ve learned that frequent baths help lessen the shedding. He sleeps on the bed and lounges on the couch, so I’d like to keep them (relatively) fur free.

My dog gets a bath every 2-3 months and always hates it. We live in an apartment so he’s 100% inside and only goes out on a leash for walks. Washing the dog is a big chore so it pretty much only happens once he starts to stink lol

I have a toy poodle, so he gets groomed (bath + cut) once a month. If he gets gross at the dog park in between, then I’ll give him a quick bath in between grooms.

@Pokemon:  Wow, you wash your cats that often? I’m impressed!

I wash my boy once a week because he has alopecia. His skin gets itchy and smells kind of funky if I don’t, but before he lost a lot of his hair I washed him maybe once a month. Blow-drying a freaked out pomeranian is no easy task!

Usually once a week. But when we go to the dog park, which is up to 6 times a week during the summer, she gets a shower every day. She’s a white American Bulldog who loves to play so she gets very dirty. Other people at the park are always like “OMG look how dirty she is!” and I’m like “…Your dog is just as dirty as mine, you just can’t see it….”

Oh, and she is an “inside dog”.
