I take mine in to the jewelers once every 6 months to have the prongs checked and the ring cleaned.

I bought jewelry cleaner from the jewelry store and I use that about every 2-3 weeks. And if I happen to be in the mall, I will take it to be cleaned (for free) at the store.

I clean mine like 3-4 times a week.  Normally I just let it soak in a solution of water and Mr. Clean.

Oh I'm horrible...I clean my ring every other day! I just use the Connoisseur precious cleaner and their polishing cloth.

I also stop by my jewelry store sometimes to get it cleaned. Then I stundeniable the store and watch my ring scream out "Here I am! I'm so clean!!" LOL!

I clean mine at least every two weeks. However at work on firday the girls said lets clean our rings in an ultrasonic machine. I was apprehensive. However my rings glitter like none other will do it again they say to use ultrasonic cleaning once a month.

@BrittMike12:   I haven't hit my first 6-month check from the jeweler yet, but the did provide me with a jewelry cleaning solution that I use weekly or even twice a week.

I am a nut with my ring and I try to clean it at least once every 2 weeks. I have a cleaning kit and I spoke to the jeweler and they said I can clean it that much and I will be fine. It has a lifetime warrenty on it so I clean as much as I want, lol. My ring is white gold and I may have to take back to Jared's every year to get it redone by them.

I clean mine at home about once a week.  I take it to the jeweler's about every other week to be cleaned as well (easy, since they are only about half a mile from where I live!).

At least once a week, more if needed. It can get pretty dirty and I HATE that! I just use the at-home cleaner. I've only taken it to the jeweler once for the free cleaning so far. I'll probably take it in again before the wedding.

I clean mine about once a week with diluted Windex and a very soft bristled brush that came with another jewelry cleaning solution. I let it sit in the Windex solution for about 30 seconds and then brush the center stone lightly, and even more lightly on the band and the basket since they have pave stones.

I clean my ring on Sunday mornings for the week using either water and Mr. Clean or an ammonia combo.  On Thursday mornings, I use the Connoiseur's jewelry solution with tray or the Connoiseur's gel and brush set just make sure it is sparkley for the weekend.  I know that I am a little obsessed, but my ring is still new to me.

I clean mine about every 2 weeks. I'm a dental asst, so I just put it in a ziploc bag filled with water and drop it in the ultrasonic machine at work :o)

Reading these posts makes me feel bad for not cleaning mine enough! I have thought about taking it to the jeweler but our communications skills are bad (me=bad French, them=bad English) and we didn't buy it with something that let me get it cleaned for free once in a while (again, the language barrier complicted things). I may ask about it once we move to BC (in 18 days where we can speak English!) and buy our wedding rings.

louisianablue : Is mr clean okay to use on a ring? Im sure it is i just would be a little nervous

Aure :  My FH talks about the ultra sonic cleaner, he wanted to buy it but i told him we should wait, does it do a good job of cleaning your ring, i hear its super gentle

tdowens53 : I use the Connoiseur's jewelry solution  too, i alternate between that and ivory soap.

@BrittMike12: The appraiser I went to recommended Mr. Clean to me.  I definitely think it is safe to use.  I honestly think that it makes my ring the sparkliest when I use the Mr. Clean method. i just like alternating methods of cleaning just in case years down the road one method is discovered to be harmful, so I switch it up.

My jeweler asks us to bring it in every 6 months for a cleaning and ring check (to ensure nothing is defective). This keeps our warranty valid.

They also re-plate it every year. (White gold tends to look dull & yellow, if it goes too long without being replated)

I used to clean mine every few days when we first got engaged last year. I'll go a week or two now without cleaning it.

I use only a mild soap and soft toothbrush. Rinse REALLY well and boom. Mega sparkly.

I clean mine about once a month (and I always clean it when I wash my hands). I will use windex and a soft toothbruch. Magic! If I REALLY want to make it sparkle I will bust out my bissel hand held steam cleaner. WOW! Gorgeous.

Once a week usually.  Just with hot water and liquid dish soap, and a baby tooth brush.

I also use a steamer on my rings now.  It works amazing!!  Be careful for those of you using ultrasonnics.  They should not be used often, as they can shake your stones loose.  And if you have a pave ring, you should never use an ultrasonic.  They should only be steamed.
