How often do you clean your house?

I generally do that once a week- vaccum every 2-3. We don’t have any pets so there’s not pet hair around.

But I need to have a clean bathroom – I can’t stand “bathroom” smells and I don’t like seeing water spots, so I clean my bathroom at least once a week.

For me, I throw on some latex gloves and get down to business- I clean way better if I don’t actually have to touch anything. Totally weird, I know.

Once a week-  Clean Bathrooms (Showers, sinks toilets counters and floors), vacuum whole house & dust whole house, clean wood floors, clean kitchen (stove, wipe down countertops & cabinets, floors, sink, etc.).  I usually do this every Sunday morning.. but I’m a clean freak 🙂

We try to put things away when we are done using them, so our house isn’t very cluttered to begin with.  You could probably do every other week, especially if you live by yourself.

Once a week or so? We vacuum/clean the floors more than that because we have two cats + I shed a lot, too. TBH, I don’t really have the time/energy to clean that often, and our apartment usually looks messy even when it’s clean because we don’t have room to organize/store things. :

I do a full on clean once a week, and tidy up as I go along for the rest of the week.

I deep clean everything once a week – vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing bathtub and toilet and sink, cleaning out he refrigerator, etc.  During the week I make sure everything stays tidy by wiping the counters and tables as soon as they get dirty, doing the dishes immediately after I’ve used them, putting away my laundry as soon as it’s done, changing the towels every few days, and other stuff like that. But I love a clean house, so it might be more than average…?

I clean the entire kitchen every couple days, and the bathroom usually weekly. I wipe the counters/simks pretty much daily though, my fiancé is a slob. Vacuuming about once a week. Deeper cleaning I do every few weeks. I grew up with a stay at home mom so our house was the cleanest thing you’ve ever seen, therefore I have high standards but I have to balance that with my laziness.

We try to do a deep clean every two weeks.  That normally includes scrubbing both bathrooms, dusting living room and bedroom, washing/vacuuming floors, shaking out rugs.  But we try to maintain a “clean” house throughout the week – stay up on dishes, put items away, do laundry every few days.

We do wash our sheets once a week though! 🙂

Several times a week. But I deep clean once a week!

But I understand I’m kinda of a clean freak.

@LadyBlackheart:  I would guess every two weeks is not often enough.

I do a little bit of cleaning everyday.  I sweep everyday, clean the counters everyday, and some other little things as I see them.  I don’t leave any dishes in the sink ever.

I clean the stove right after I use it.

Every Sunday I do the bathroom – the toilet, the sinks, the shower, and the floor.  I mop every weekend, do all the mirrors, and try to finish all the laundry.

I change the bedsheets twice a week and make the bed every morning.

About every other week, I make sure the inside of the fridge is clean, and make sure my cabinets are organized.

Once a week for cleaning the bathrooms/running the vaccuum, dusting and deep cleaning a few times a month, but I try and tidy every other day so there isn’t a lot of crap everywhere. The worst is when we are out/busy in the evenings and the dishes sit in the dish rack for a few days with opened mail all over the counter.

Little stuff every day, big stuff (bathroom, washing sheets, cleaning out fridge) one a week. I think 2-3 weeks in between big items will make it a HUGE chore and you’ll be less likely to want to deal with it– especially the bedroom, when it’s just clutter/laundry and not possibly gross like the bathroom.

I tend towards here– which is a no-nonsense motivation to get stuff done, with cursing. She rebloggs sucesses, and it’s nice to see that a lot of other people sometimes get overhwelmed.
