So while visiting my grandmother I got a chance to look at all of her amazing photo album of poloroids of when she and my grandpa were first married. They are so special to me now! As well she made an album or two for each kid and grandchild and is giving them away now and it is so awesome to have now. So anyways I’m a photographer and have aton of photos of my SO and I wanna get them into albums ASAP but I’m unsure of how to organize them. I was thinking an album every year but don’t wanna have (hopefully) 80+ albums at the end of my life. So I’m not sure should I wait to do every five years? Or only major life events like weddings and vacations? I’m not sure so I was wondering what you guys have done? Any ideas?

I’m the worst at taking my digital photos and actually turning them into photo books! I really need to get better about that!
I guess it partially depends on how many photos you have, and if you’re a photographer, I’m guessing you probably have a LOT! I’m no pro, and I know I have a bad habit of taking (and holding onto) maybe five pictures of one thing when all I really need is one good photo of it?
Could you fit a few years into each book if you only choose the best of the photos to actually put in the book (and keep the rest on your computer/wherever)?
I’m interested to hear what others say…this is something I need to figure out for myself, too!

I starting making one every year since my freshman year of high school! I love it! It’s so neat since Fiance and I met in high school and have sooo many pics and can see us change over the years. I also did an addition album for things like vacations, our first house, engagement pics, etc. So far I have about 20 scrapbooks! They are all displayed on a bookshelf in our living room. I think it’s a great idea and will mkae for amazing memories some day. It is a large time/money commitment in a way if you go all out like I did (decorate every page with stickers/words/printing a million pics) Good luck! Let me know if you need any help!

I usually don’t print out pictures anymore. I have been making shutterfly albums, but I usually do those of a trip or something. I should make them more often though.
