This question is what made me leave the boards on The Knot, after I got told I was a disgusting pig (or some similar nonsense) for washing my sheets bi-weekly. Now that we're sharing the bed (and using it a lot more, haha), we wash them weekly.

    What about you?

    No judgment here!

Yep! We usually go out to breakfast Sunday morning, so I just throw them in the washer before we leave.

Ok, I will admit that we probably wash them monthly. We mean to do it more but, well, they're king size, and we have to go to a laundromat, and we always have so much other laundry that we don't feel like hauling the sheets, etc etc etc ... excuses!

Man, those Knotties are such biatches.  I wash my sheets weekly - I put them in right after I get home from work on Friday.  I wash my comforter once a month.

We wash ours every 2 weeks/every 10 days. I wash the comforter that often too. Might as well go all out.

We wash them every two weeks. Like ejs we usually both shower at night.  We wash our comforter every two weeks too because my husband always kicks of the top sheet from his side because he's weird.

Our cleaning lady changes them when she comes - once every three weeks.  That's also the only time it gets made.

@ejs4y8: I'm with you - ours get washed about monthly.  Yay for being a "disgusting pig"!  I always shower at night so I'm pretty clean when I climb into bed so I don't worry about it too much.

    Once a week

When we lived in an apartment without a washer/dryer it was less than that. I do not miss the days of searching all my coat pockets/purses/in the car for quarters!

Guess i'm a disgusting pig too.  We probably go 4-5 weeks.  He generates enough laundry as it is and I got better things to do but washing sheets every week!   I always shower at night though so I'm cleaning jumping in bed.  FIs side might be a lil dirtier than mine.. hehe

Monthly, sometimes 2 times a month... We also both shower before bed, so how dirty can they really be?!

Man, I am such a disgusting pig...

We change them every 10 days/2 weeks-ish since we have multiple sets and can rotate through them.. they get washed when they get washed ;)

Husband does it. I think he does it 2-3 times a month, maybe if we are really busy, once a month?

I'm way more of a disgusting pig than any of you. I would say I probably wash them every other month. I know I should do it more often but it's kind of a pain in the ass. Now I feel extra gross and will probably wash them tomorrow as I work from home.

If we lived in a place with a washer/dryer it would probably be once a week. Seeing as we have to drive our laundry to my grandma's to do it for free it is really like once a month in winter and twice in summer when we are sweatier.

Either every week or every other... It just depends on how much laundry I have to do that day.  I try for every week, because I love the feel of clean sheets but usually its every other.

That said, when I was younger and in college I rarely washed my sheets.... I usually just ended up buying new ones instead of washing them.  It was bad.  So I can be considered a dirty rotten pig as well.  but I've reformed. ;)

I washed my sheets once a week when I wasn't living with J.

The sheets now are washed once every two weeks unless it's evident that they need a washing.

Another disgusting piggie here! About once a month. I got shit to do, and washing sheets once a week just ain't one of 'em, lol.

Maybe I'm the weird one? We have like 6 sets of sheets, and I change the sheets on the bed probably twice a week. So I wash/change sheets twice a week I guess.

I used to wash mine weekly, but I've gotten lazy lately.  So now I wash them at the most every 2 weeks, but usually more like every 3 weeks.  Like a PP said - I take a shower before bed so in my mind they aren't getting as dirty.  :)

::guiltily looks around:: I would love to say I do it weekly because that's my preference.  However, life does get in the way and it may be every 2-3 weeks.  But after "sheet shaking" and if any of us has been sick or something else that would make them dirty, they get washed immediately.

Another pig here.  ;-)  We're usually in that 3-5 week range.  I don't know why I don't do it more often.  I LOVE the feel of fresh sheets but whatever.  Better things to do I guess!

I change mine once a week, usually on Sunday nights, but I only wash my sheets every 2-3 weeks.  We have several sets, and they take up the whole washer, so I am usually too lazy to do an extra load of laundry until they pile up...

Yay for pigs :) I wash mine about once a month. But I shower every night before bed, and generally end up sleeping on top of my comforter because the heat in my building is a BEAST. Plus, there are FOUR washers for my whole dorm- who really has time to wait around for a washer on a weekly basis? There are 150 other people trying to do laundry every day. Not plausible.

every 2 weeks, but still live in my own place, I plan on once a week once we move in together, that's what I prefer- but no w/d right now so it sucks.

About twice a month... we take showers before going to bed, so we're nice and clean before jumping under the sheets.  :)

We try to change ours once a week, sometimes we end up waiting longer.  If they get super messy (yay for bedroom fun time!) we'll change them more frequently as needed.

However, since we are long distance right now, and I sleep alone, i go longer before I change the sheets - probably closer to every three weeks/once a month.  I keep pretty clean, so I don't get too bothered about it.  I will change my pillowcases more often though, to keep them clean so I don't break out.

In an ideal world they would be washed once a week but we live in a condo complex with a shared laundry room so it gets done once a month, as it gets expensive and time consuming otherwise. I just bought a new sheet set today so I am going to start rotating through them.

Hahaha, I am sure all those girls on TK are lying. Not even my FMIL with OCD washes her sheets every week.

@PitBulLover: I was only there for like 2 weeks before I stumbled upon WB, and tried to be on both boards - but after people were so rude over something so totally inconsequential, I was like, "um, why am I wasting my time here?!" hahaha
