My husband wears his all the time except for when he showers. He’s forgot to put it back on 3 or 4 times and always calls me freaking out from work to make sure he didn’t lose it.

Mhm. As of now, he doesn’t wear his ring right now. I don’t mind at all 🙂

And what idea is that??

My husband very rarely wears his ring, he can’t at work and there is no reason for him to come home and put his on. Shoot, I don’t even wear mine all that often. A piece of jewelry is just that, a piece of jewelry. If people are going to judge you for not wearing it, then they have their own issues

DH used to have to take it off for work b/c the machinery he worked with. He forgot to put it back on a couple times but for the most part it was never an issue.

Now he has a different job & doesn’t ever take it off…. ever.

I sadly had to recently retire mine until after I have baby b/c my fingers swell when it’s on… can’t wait till I can wear it again!

OP, I see you were just married, it takes time for him to get used to the ring. My DH did that all the time at first. He would take it off and then forget to put it back on. I had to remind him so many times.

Now days he does take it off say to shower and to burb our muchkin but always remembers to put it back on. In fact he says now his finger feels weird without the ring.

My husband has never taken it off. He can’t get it past his knuckle haha, so its on there for life ha!

I, on the other hand, take mine off all the time (for showers, washing up…) and frequently forget to put them back on before i leave the house. We sometimes joke when we’re out and i’ve forgotten mine that i’m his mistress 🙂

He takes it off on his bowling days. He bowls left handed and he thinks the reason his first ring cracked was because of the bowling ball somehow. He doesn’t want the ring to crack again, so he leaves his ring at home on bowling days.

I think DH has worn his a total of about a week since we got married a year and a half ago. lol. He can’t wear it to work so he used to wear it on a chain around his neck. Then he lost it. Meh. I was upset with him at the time but I honestly don’t care now. My dad and the husbands of my two best friends have all been through more than one wedding band.

We make quite a pair now since my little pregnant fingers are too swollen to wear mine. I’ve gotten some obnoxious looks from that one.

@zippylef:  I definitely have a whole new outlook on pregnant women who don’t have a ring on… I still feel really weird without mine! =/

DH rarely wears his.  He claims it ‘gets in the way’ at work.  I think the problem is that he hasn’t worn it enough to get used to it.  I do like it if he at least wears it when we go out.  Usually I have to remind him, but the last week he’s been putting it on without being reminded.
