I think I've only changed mine once. I doubt I'll be changing this one, I like it too much. Mrs. Sewing drew it for me back in the day!
I've always had the same one. It confuses me when other people on the boards change their avatars if I've gotten used to seeing them, I definitely identify people around here first by the avatar and second by their username.
I just figured out how to change mine a few weeks ago, so I've changed mine once.
Well I actually changed usernames not avatars because I deactivated my old account because I needed a break from weddingbee....after about 2 weeks I was back on with a new username!
I think I am on my 3rd one. I don't plan on changing it anymore though!
I changed mine to one that Mrs. Sewing drew for me way back when. The problem is no one knew who I was lol!!
mine only changed when my username changed over.
i always get super confused whenever people change their avatars. it throws me off big time.
I had the default bee for MONTHS and finally was like "this is crazy, I need something." This was before we got our epics back and I didn't have any personal photos to put up, so I used the cover of one of my favorite albums. I doubt I'll change it because as everyone says, it's often the way we recognize posters.

I think I'm the only one who changes their avatar.
I think it's cool that i can read comments and instantly recognize some people by their same avatar from a year ago (probably years old).
But I'm weird like that. When I first got a cell phone, I used to always change my voicemail message at least monthly, now I change it once a year, max.
When will it get old for me to change my avatar?? Maybe b/c I'm not good at printing pics...so I must insist on rotating them electronically. :) Maybe you just wanted to change yours AFTER you got married?
