I’ve had my engagement ring (center stone w/ 3 pave diamonds on either side) for 4 years and no incidents yet.

My wedding ring has shallow channel-set diamonds halfway around, and also no problems.

My mom has pave diamonds and the only time she had a problem was when our pet parrot bit one out!

@LeSpice:  I have a micropave basket on my ring and that’s the part I bang on things most often (putting hands in my pocket, hitting  against door frames, leather gloves, etc).

No problems so far, and each stone is secure. I have a Tacori though, and their pave tends to be microprong set. I think ring quality has something to do with it. For example. they refused all of the very simple minor changes I requested because their designer said it may affect the integrity of the ring. Another custom designer said there was no problem to do the work.

Do you have insurance or a jeweller warranty?

I’ve only had my right hand ring for six months, but I haven’t had any problems with the pave stones.  I wouldn’t worry about it.

I’ve had my ering for 3 years now and haven’t had any problems with the pave stones. I bang it around all the time, too.

I had a stone fall out after almost a year of having my ring, the day before our engagement session! Luckily I found it on our dining room table and was able to have it reset. I haven’t had any problems since and I’ve had my ring for about two years total (:

I’ve had my fave since July and no problems yet. Although I never wear it if I have to lift anything heavy or do housework.

@LeSpice:  I love the way pave looks but Ive just heard way too many stories of pave falling out over the years.  It’s just not something I wanted to deal with worrying about so even though I love the look – I opted for a solitaire.
