    Hi ladies!

Just wondering what the average age of a flower girl for a bride on weddingbee is!  Our flower girl will be about 4.5 at the wedding.  Right now the florist has her holding a single bloom.  How old is your flowre girl and what will she be carrying down the aisle??

Our flower girl was 7 and she carried a "paper-pouch" with purple tissu paper flower petals <--- they forgot to get the blue ones I had and to take out the scrap tissue lol

Our flower girl is going to be 1 1/2. She will be super young so I think we might get her mom to walk down with her.

I have 2 flower girls and they're both 2! Should be really interesting, lol. They're carrying these baskets my BM made for them. How old is your flower girl and what is she carrying? : wedding 249530 233680119980823 100000165100415 1183464 709851 N

Mine was 4 and she carried a mini version of my BM's bouquets. The venue was historic and wouldn't allow petals.

My two flower girls were almost 3 and almost 2.  They were supposed to carry small pomanders (flower balls) BUT the florist forgot them (UGH!!) and they ended up carrying hydrangea blooms that the florist was able to whip up last minute.  I am still so dissapointed they couldn't carry some uber cute pomanders :(

My flower girl is going to be 5, she is carrying a bouqet (similar to mine but much much smaller) with streamers. At our church she cant throw flowers so this is our alternative.

I had two flower girls (couldn't ask one niece without asking the other), the older one held a sign while the younger one held a pomander. I had flower petals already down so I thought it was kinda silly for them to throw petals on top of petals lol.

My two flower girls will be 8 and 6 at the time of the wedding. I'm pretty sure they will both carry baskets and toss flower petals.

I'm having my neice as my flowergirl and she will only be 8 months old!

I'm just going to have her wear a cute dress that is similar to mine and have her mum (my sister in law) carry her down the aisle before taking her usual seat. Its a good way for me to include my only neice and my sister-in-law and its more about having her dressed up super-cute and getting some photos with her

My daughter will be 22 months at my wedding and will of course be my flower girl. She will hopefully be carrying a rustic sign that says 'here comes the bride'. We'll see if she will carry it, or walk down the aisle!

My flower girl is 6 and will be carrying a basket with rose petals that she will drop on the ground.   FI's niece is 2.5 and I think SIL really wanted us to have her as FG but alas, we really wanted a slightly older child who will be reliable, yet still super adorable, so we went with my godchild instead.

Mine are my little cousins.  They're sisters, ages 2 & 3.  They were flowergirls in their uncle's wedding in November, so they should be pros :)  They're carrying these parasols:

I have two, one will be 5 the other will be 8. However I am rethinking and will probably have the oldest one carry the "Here Comes the Bride" sign instead.

I have two... The younger one will be almost 2 and she'll be carrying a ribbon pomander.  The older one will be just over 4... I think she'll be carrying a ribbon pomander that is "scooped out" so she can have petals in it to drop

@RSgrl1215: We can't do petals at our church either - So we're thinking to use fake petals for the older FG

My two flower girls will be 3.5 and 3.  They will carry silver paint cans decorated with flowers and ribbons.

I think the key to getting kids to walk down the aisle is to practice practice practice!  My daughter was 4 when she was in my sister's wedding and anytime there was more than 4 people around we practiced walking down the aisle.  Worked like a charm!

Ours will be my 20 yo daughter, who claimed that spot the minute I said yes. And I have no problem with this at all. She is going to have a bubble machine as she walks down.

Our flower girl will be 3 weeks shy of 4 years old.  She'll have a flower halo from the florist and a little basket with petals to throw.  :)

My daughter will be five and my FI's niece will be 3, I think... I'm making mini bouquets (smaller sized flowers and small bouquet) for the girls to carry.  Hopefully I can make them into cascading bouquets!  (of course, if the niece doesn't agree to walk down the aisle with my nephew, she's out of the wedding.  and I DARE her mom or my FI's mom to even SUGGEST walking with her!  ze bridezilla, she will make an appearance! ;) )

LOVE the pics! so many cute little girls!!!!

She'll be 2.5 years old and if she makes it down the aisle (which will be a miracle) she will be carrying a pinwheel.

My daughter is my flowergirl and she will be 3 almost 3.5    Our venue wont allow petals either so she is carrying a bouquet make of barkcoverd wire that is swirled around to make the base of the bouquet and in it will be a few Stargazer Lillies; like in my bouquet!

Ours is 2 and a MANIAC (she was one when I asked, now I'm kind of nervous), she's carrying a little silk basket full of petals and I just hope she makes it down the aisle :/
