Hi Bees! I posted this question in the relationships forum too but then I thought I might get more responses here...So I'm posting here too 
...How old were you when you got engaged and how long were you with your SO when you got engaged? I'm 24 and it'll be four years with my boyfriend next week. We've also been living together for three of those years. And we've been friends for 7 years. So I'm about ready, haha. But I just wanted to see what everyone elses expierences were?
I was 24 when I got engaged and we dated for 7.5 years before the proposal! LONG time! haha
I was 30 when we got engaged, and we'd been dating for about 3 1/2 years.
We were both 22 and had been together almost 5 years! We had been living together for about 3 years and had known each other since elementary school.
I was 25 and we were together for 3 years
I was 20, he was 23 and we'd been together over four years when he proposed!
34 when we got engaged (both of us)
Dating 3 years and 8 months (to the day).
I was 27 when I got engaged and we had been together for 8 months. The whole saying when you know you know. I never thought I would get married, LOL
i was 29 when we got engaged and had just celebrated 4 years of dating about 2 weeks prior to the proposal.
I was 17 and he was 18 and we had been dating about 4 months :) But we're not rushing into anything, we've been engaged about 2 years and probably have 2 more to go :p
I was 24 (still am) and we had been together 2 years 5 months.
I am 25, FI is 30 and we had been together 3yrs 8months, and had been living together for 8 months :)
28 when we got engaged, we were together for almost 3 years (he proposed 6 days before our 3 year anniversay), by the time we get married, we'll have been together 4.5 years
Here goes, lol... I was 15 he was 17 when he proposed we had been together only short of 2 days from our three month anniversary but we had a very long engagement (we got married 4 days before our 4 year anniversary) so we was engaged for 3 years and 9 months before we got married and living together for about 9 months when we got married.. I think I'm the youngest on here so far with the whole what age did you get engaged. lol
We got engaged in June 2010 after more than 5 years of dating (we'll be celebrating 6 years in 2 weeks!). We started shacking up about 4 months into our relationship. We're both 25.
We got engaged this January when I was 22 and he was a week from his 22nd birthday. We had been dating for almost 3 years and had known each other since grade school.
I was 24, He was 19... we had be dating for a month... been friends for 2 years prior.
We will have known each other for 10 months (yes, months!) on our wedding day :)
We got engaged a little shy of 6 months together, though he got the ring (his grandmothers from his mom) after only 3.
We are both turning 32 in July - he's 11 days older than me! And with one exception, the youngest in relation to me I have ever dated.
I was 19, he was 20, we had been together 9 months. We'll be 21 and 23, together for 3 years when we get married.
I met my fiance in 2002. I was 14 at the time. We started dating in 2003. We started living together in 2007, and got engaged in 2009. We'll be married in 2012. We're High School sweethearts.
i was 21 and FI 26 and we'd been together for 4 years and were getting married on our five year anniversary
FI and I met and became friends in 2000, and we started dating in June 2005 (at age 20). We dated about four years before getting engaged in August 2009 (at 24), and we'll get married in December 2011 (age 26 for him, 27 for me)--so we'll have been together 6.5 years at that point.
I had to ask FI to do some of the remembering for me, yikes!
I'm 28 and will be married in a few months. We'll have been together 1 year, 9 months at the time of the wedding, engaged for 10 of those months and have been living together over a year.... when you know, you know. :)
We were both 21 when we got engaged and had been together almost three and a half years.
i got engaged just last christmas (25 yr old)and we had our 7th year anniversary last 11/3. we were friends for 11th year by that time. :)
I was 26 (him 27), and we got engaged after 7.5 years together. We're getting married in 5 months, and by then it'll be almost 9 years :)
