How old were you when you were engaged and how old were you when you finally got married?
I’m only 23, but I feel like so many of my friends are getting engaged/married already. Ideally, I’d like to be engaged when I’m 25 at the latest (I am such a planner and set deadlines for everything- i wish i didnt, but oh well!)

Unfortunately plans don’t always work out!! (In my case anyway!)
We were both 28 when we got engaged, and we’ll be 29 when we get married! 🙂

I’ll be 31 when we get married.
I know that there are a lot of brides out there who get married young and it works out just great, but waiting until you are a bit older is great too. Be happy for your friends, and just keep in mind that when your engagement comes it will come at an amazing time in your life, no matter how early or late that time is. Don’t rush into it just because all your friends are getting married and everyone expects you to do that too. That’s what I did, and it was clearly the wrong reason. Getting married young works, but getting married just because the gy is there and you feel like you’re supposed to be getting married, or getting married just because it’s part of the pre set plan and he’s there during that planned time in your life,… not so much.

Not engaged yet, but I’ll be 26 when engaged, and 28 when we get married. In an ideal world, I would have preferred to be a bit older before getting married.

Engaged 28, married 29. My first boyfriend was ready to propose when we were around 21, but I ended up breaking up with him. One of my better decisions! If I would have married him I would have ended up divorced. You are still really young, don’t worry about what everyone else is doing! Do yourself a favor and don’t set any timelines! Or at least, understand that life doesn’t follow your timelines.

I was 19, just shy of 20 when we got engaged, and I will be 21 when we get married (in just 3 months!)
