@ashescats:  id be DEAD if i would have waited till marriage lmao

i know alot of women might not agree with me but that being said i could not imagine in this day and age marrying someone i had not had sex with. thats half the battle in keeping a good marriage is good chemistry in the bedroom.

You don’t have a still waiting option.

I was 19. I waited until I felt 100 percent comfortable, and that I was doing it with the right person (my FI!) and I have no regrets waiting till I was 19, nor having sex at 19. I believe I waited the perfect amount of time for me.

I was 16. I kinda wish I’d waited longer, because neither of us had any idea what we were doing, but he was a sweet and committed boy the same age and we were very in love – or at least a 16 year olds version of love.   So many of my friends who “waited” ended up losing their virginity when they were drunk in college – which made me grateful I was with someone I was in a meaningful relationship with, even if I was a bit too young!

17 with my sons father we waited 6 months and we were both virgins. We stayed together about 2 years so it was all worth it, glad it was to him and not someone I didn’t really care about.

16 (almost 17) and I have no regrets. I was ready, had been childhood friends with my bf, we had been dating for nearly a year, and we were together for 4 years total. Neither one of us felt taken advantage of, we were both virgins, and although the relationship did eventually sour, my first sexual experiences were overwhelmingly positive and laid the groundwork for the great sex life I have now. I was raised Catholic and most of my friends were virgins when I became sexually active, so I felt guilty on that front, but at the same time I really genuinely felt like it opened up this part of my personality that I had been longing to have access to.  I should probably add that I was not planning on remaining a virgin until marriage; I just wanted to feel ready on my own terms, not feel pressured, and be in a loving, committed relationship. I think if I had intended to wait and “broken down” I may have felt differently about the experience, but I stayed true to myself and am very grateful that I did!

18 with my first love and then bestfriend.

Turns out he was gay and dumped me a year after we started dating. I don’t regret anything though, we truly loved each other at the time.

17 with my first serious boyfriend whom I’d been seeing for 6 months – in the back of a pickup truck.  It was actually quite sweet and romantic.  We split up 6 months aftewards but everytime we bump into each other we have a catch-up.  He’s yet anothe ex I ended up setting up with who was to become their wife.

16 with my first real relationship, we were together for 15 months. We stayed friends for awhile, until recently when we totally lost contact. Looking back he wasn’t cute but we were really good friends.

23 to my now Fiance. I just waited until I was completely comfortable and with the right person. I can actually say my first time was amazing!
