... first flew in an airplane?!

I know, random! But I was thinking about this when I was at the airport last week.

I was 14 the first time I ever flew on a plane :] Now I'm a travelin' fool!!!

I think like 2 years old...my parents took my sister and I to Aruba. Of course, that was the last tropical vacation we went on, and I don't even remember it :)

I was 8 and my family and I went for a long weekend trip to Hong Kong. We lived in the Philippines then so it was a quick 1.5 hour flight.

Since I was a baby...less than a year old and have been traveling practically every year since.  I LOVE to travel...i just hate it when people next to me on the plane take off their shoes and socks and have ugly feet that start to impose on my side!!

My dad's a sport pilot with a plane, so I am not sure of the first time, but 4 years old is what I can remember.

FI was 30!  And he flew the plane, I got a lesson as a gift for him, but soon we'll be flying to South America for the honeymoon...

When we went skydiving for hubs 26th birthday, so I was 24. Everyone thought I was hardcore cuz the first time I ever get into an airplane I jumped out of it, plus I'm terrified of heights!  We flew for our honeymoon so I at least got to experience the landing at almost 26 :)

We even drove to Puerto Vallarta from Chicago, it was a 48 hour trip!!! then I didn't jump on an airplane till I was 17 and havn't stopped since :)

I was seven. My mother and my sister and I flew to visit my grandparents in Kentucky. My mom bought me bubble gum to help with the pressure in my ears.

I went on one (extremely short) plane ride when I was 4 or 5-ish (I don't remember it at all, I just know that I did) and have never flown since! So my first "real" airplane ride will be for our honeymoon!

I was 16, flew alone and was petrified/terrified.  The opportunity to fly was available before then but I begged/pleaded with my dad for us not to fly b/c I had terrible nightmares about crashing.  Anyways, I worked myself up for it, my aunt was flying me to NYC from Indy to Chicago w/ a detour in Rochester so she could fly with me the rest of the way.  Boy was I so scared.  Before we took off, I met this really kind lady and her granddaughter, I flipped seats so that I was in the aisle and her granddaughter was at the window.  I actually winced as we were taking off b/c it felt so wrong and angled.  When we reached altitude, I got really light headed and thought I was going to pass out.  The kind lady grabbed my hand and held it.  She also gave me some bottled water.  I never felt so thankful in my life, she was like "you're going to be okay, I'm right here if you need anything."

The flight from Chicago to Rochester was very bumpy but the plane didn't fall.  Coming back (reverse order) was fine, nothing memorable.  However, the following year I flew to D.C. and back, coming home we had some turbulence and the plane coasted downward.  I was sick to my stomach, ugh!  I was praying to God to not die (I'm melodramatic).  I hate the sensation of free fall (no roller coasters or sky diving for me).  So I won't be flying for awhile (if ever).  My longest plane ride was 2.5 hrs (very short).
