I have a week left until my RSVP date and still have 59 people floating about in the abyss out there that haven’t sent in their cards. I know they obviously still have time but having such a high number towards the end is kind of surprising to me. Some of the people who haven’t sent back their stuff are even super close family members who I’m just kind of like WTF send your shit back peoples! And of course good old grandma is saying “Well you know they’ll come, just put them down!” No Nana, this isn’t the 1940, shit doesn’t cost a nickel anymore! I want definate answers!
So bee’s, did yours come in mostly towards the early end or did you have to hunt tons of people down?

Some came in early, and some came in at the tail end of the RSVP. A month after the wedding and we never heard formally from 3 invites (6 people total), we did get a card from one couple that they sent to my parents- who live across the country from me and the wedding but still haven’t had real contact with the other 4 people

I’ve still got heaps outstanding, but I’ve still got a month until my cut off. Like you a lot of the outstanding ones are close family, which is infuriating!!
I think its a mixture of people just assuming that you know that they’re coming, not realising how important they were (I never did until I was the bride!) and people forgetting.
We’re expecting that we’re going to have to call a lot of people after the cut off date to confirm. its very annoying!

It seemed like they responded in spurts. It seemed like the first week we got at least one day and then none and then a few more. We still have about 18 parties that haven’t responded one way or they other.
