As in how long do I have to get this http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=fantasia&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15&style=ASM3474, before the store clears it out. It’s from the brand new Spring 2011 collection
In general, how long do bridal shops keep dresses around?

it depends how well it sells. if no one buys it, they’ll get rid of it more quickly, but if it’s a really popular dress, they’ll keep it around.
eta: that’s a chelsea knockoff! i was wondering how quickly that would be in stores!

I asked this in several stores and got told that its not the collection its the dress. It depends if it is popular. Some dresses are from 5+years ago if they are best sellers but others they may discontinue after a year if they don’t sell. If it’s from the 2011 collection though i’d say at least a year if not longer because they’d give it time to see if it actually sold first before stopping it.

My dress came out in 2008 but I bought it this year. It was in a salon that had a lot of new collections, so like what was said before, it depends on the dress.

Hmmm..that’s good to hear! Brides please make this dress popular so I can buy it later!
@kitzy: I know! Of the Vera. I actually like the Maggie one better. Yay to sweethearts and dropped waistline. All the things I wanted in a dress. See I love mermaids but I really wanted crazy fullness at the bottom.
Vera is also coming out wih a line for David’s Bridal so we will see if another recreation comes out of that.
