@nikkialys:  Usually the hospital will offer classes that go over diaper changing, bathing, swaddling, basic first aid, etc. Ours was called “baby basics.” Unfortunately, DH couldn’t go. But I’ve heard the nurses at the hospital will be tremendously helpful with teaching the basics to you and/or your husband, so make sure to ask!

Not pregnant (yet!), but DH is actually way more experienced in the kiddo department than I am!  I have zero baby experience.  DH, on the other hand, has helped raise countless younger cousins and nieces.  So, to answer your question, I am 100% confident in his parenting abilities  🙂

i am in the same boat as you. i had 6 younger siblings and DH is the youngest. i think when baby comes, they  might get that natural instinct!

He is beyond excited, but I don’t think he entirely knows what he is in for yet lol. He has never changed a diaper, but he is going to have to learn when the time comes. Your hospital may have a few classes available.

@nikkialys:  haha you are right. I am seeing a mess sometime too! I just searched ‘baby preparedness classes’on google and included my location. the health department came up with a couple, maybe try that route?
