Ooooh, you can totally wrap a "garland" of flowers or something green around the columns.

Also, you can make a border of flowers or candles around the back permieter.

Too bad it’s not night time…you can then do "lights" or something.but then again, where’s the plug?!

What a great venue! I’d keep it simple, maybe just some garland around the posts and use the benches to put a bunch of candles-vary the heights.

Hey! I don’t have many suggestions for you but I totally recognize that venue

Out of curiosity, are they blocking it off for you or will there be other people there too?

Yeah, that sucks that you can’t block it off. You could always give someone the job of standing at both ends, and kind of stopping people from going down there, you know? Like just reminding people that come up "Hey, there’s a wedding going on there. You think you could go around instead?" Just an idea…

Yeah, good ole’ CoMo. I haven’t seen many from mid-mo on here. We’re getting married closer to where our parents and soon we will live, like 20-30 minutes outside of town though. I’m kinda glad it won’t be in town and won’t have to deal with issues like parking and such. On the other hand, it makes it kinda hard to "run" to a salon or whatnot the morning of!

I would sure hope he wouldn’t do that!

For the concrete benches, would it work to make them "reserved" seating for like parents or something? Then again… they aren’t that comfortable. Or you could wrap tulle around the top and under them, and you could set up some arrangements or programs, etc. It might help to disguise them some.

The first thing I thought of was to hang those paper "poof balls" around the gazebo in varying color shades, sizes, and lengths! I saw a picture on Flickr (I have no idea how to find it – sorry!) of a gazebo with those things hanging from it, and it looked AWESOME. Very simple, cheap , and easy.

As far as the benches go…you can definitely add color w/ some potted plants. The pillars you can do a swag of flowers or tulle in your wedding colors. I have been to several wedding at gazebos & the potted plants were gorgeous & did not go to wast as they could be taken home & put to use.

As far as the benches go, maybe dressing them up with a piece of fabric strewn across it (like a table cloth?)  Another thought, foldable bleacher chairs?  You could also even do patio furniture cushions.  Good luck!  Let us know what you end up doing.
