- Wedding: November 2011
We are getting married at 7:00, however, we would like for our guests to arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 for a pre-ception of very very light hor d’voures and drinks and activities. I don’t want guests to think we aren’t having a reception though, because we are having a dinner and dancing reception. The preception is just basically small snack to hold them over until dinner time and a few minutes to relax and get comfy. Kind of like a coctail hour before the wedding, but the booze aren’t being offered until the actual reception, so I don’t want to put coctail hour on there…. ANy ideas or suggestions?
I was going to put on the very bottom of my invite in a small font:
Preception to begin at 6:30
That kind of leaves much to be desired though. I want guests to want to come. Should I just include another information card in there? I want people to arrive early, but I don’t want someone not to come because they can’t be there at 6:30 ya know?
