Should I either do:
___ seats are reserved in your honour
___of ___ seats reserved in your honour
I don’t know. Kids aren’t invited and I don’t want people to think that well two seats are reserved so I’ll bring myself and my kid since hubby can’t make it.
Suggestions would be great!

Hmm… I’m not sure how either option will help you get across the “adult-invite” portion, and frankly some people will write in 3 anyway – even if you specify 2! I’d personally use the first option, since ___ of ____ seems a little weird to me.

I used both but worded the __ of ___ line different
____ seats are reserved in your honor
____ of ____ adult(s) will be attending
I didn’t want ANY confusion that it was adult only wedding and that finding a “date” just for the wedding wasn’t gonna fly. lol
We only had 1 guest try and write her daughters name, but she had no problem with not bringing her after I called her to kindly remind her it was adult only =)

I would go with the first option. Neither of those will get across that no kids are invited so maybe include something like
“Due to the adult nature of the refreshments and entertainment, you’ll want to plan a night out for you and a night in for the kids.”
“Though we love experiencing your children in a family atmosphere, this will be an adult gathering, and you will feel more comfortable having them cared for at home.”
“Our party site and plans will not necessarily be appropriate for children or teenagers. We’ll be happy to recommend sitters in the area.”
You could also send invites addressed to the adults, with rsvps that state, “number of adults attending”. Some of this news is less stinging in a conversation, so you might rehearse saying, “this is an adult party, and we are really not making any provisions for the children.”

I would make it clear on your RSVPs that it’s adult only, and then do your option 1.

Oh and to add… I wrote in the number for the 2nd blank…
____ of 2 adult(s) will be attending
____ of 1 adult(s) will be attending.
Forgot to add that part lol
