@fvsoccer: Great sneak peek photo!
To answer your question, it was 5 months until we received the dvd-and it's not like she did extensive editing on our photos. I don't think my experience is typical. It seems like most bees receive their photos within 2-3 months.
We waited two months to get our engagement pictures back, and 3 months for our wedding pictures (although he did post a same day sneak peek of a bunch of our pictures). It was well worth the wait! I know its hard to be patient, but I'm sure your pictures will be worth the wait. You look amazing in your sneak peek! :)
I own an event planning company and work with 8 photogs. All of them take anywhere between 6-8 weeks to get them back to clients. However, most will send 10-20 sneek peaks sooner than that or blog them.
Oh Man! That is a crazy long time!!!! Did you get prints or anything, or is that just the edited files? I hope ours are good/edited properly now... :S
@fvsoccer: No prints directly from the photographer. It was only the disc with images. No apology either, at 5 months she was 2 months past the time she promised the images.
I think 3 months is fairly standard for most pro photographers, so try and be patient, I'm sure your photographer will have your images to you soon. :)
I'm jealous of all the sneak peeks. We won't even get one! They told us 6-8 weeks after the wedding.
I haven't done mine yet, but our photographer told us to expect 3-4 weeks to recieve our photos back, but then again, she isn't a super busy photographer so that may have something to do with the short time line.
Well, our photographer put up some great sneak peek photos before our honeymoon (we left 2 days after the wedding), and a month after the wedding she had all 1093 photos up on pictage for us to pick photos for our album. So maybe we're considered one of the lucky ones!

Hey married bees!
How soon did you get your photos back from your photographer? We have only gotten one photo as a sneak peek, and he said it would be 4 weeks until we got them all back! I think that is really long, especially because we have much less photos needing editing than usual weddings (it was freezing and we were hungry, so we cut the coupley photos short). Anyone else have to wait this long?
And just for good measure, here is the sneak peek photo. I'm really excited because I love this photo, so hopefully the rest are just as great! I really want to get a big gallery wrapped canvas of this one!
