We just celebrated our 2 week anniversary 🙂 and are anxious to see photos, video and are impatiently waiting for our marriage license/certificate so I can start changing my name. We had a destination wedding and our pastor sent off the paperwork… the videographer and photographer need some time to edit obviously, but I dont want to bug them too much – its only been a couple of weeks!
How long did you bees receive yours after the wedding?

Photos were 5 weeks. License was about 2-3 weeks.

@littlemisst08: ughhhh 5 weeks how did you stand the wait?!

License was pretty quick–4 weeks, maybe?
Photos were WAY longer. I think we ended up waiting like 12-15 weeks!

@jmlw7: We got a blog recap of pics when we were on our honeymoon. Then, she also made a slideshow about 1-2 weeks later. They were up in the online gallery probably 4-6 weeks after the wedding. We were married in winter though and she didn’t have any other weddings for a few weeks after ours.
Our video trailer we got probably 2 months after the wedding. Our video was received 4 months after the wedding but that was because we were slow to get him music choices.
We received our marriage license like a week after I requested it (had to mail in payment, then they mailed it out).

OUrs was super fast!
Marriage License: It surprisingly only took a week!
Photos: 3 weeks

Certificate was over 2 weeks after the wedding because there was a mix-up at the courthouse. Video was over 2 weeks but it wasn’t professional, just a family friend who graciously taped everything and edited it with music. We just got our professional photos blogged on the photographer site last week, and we’re still going through them (400 more to go! lol) for the ones we need for the photo album. We’ve only picked out the ones our photographers are submitting to blogs/print.

Our license was ready in about a week or two. We were on honeymoon anyway so it didnt matter. We are still waiting on our photos and video and it has been 2 months.

@jmlw7: stare at guest photos, haha!

@jmlw7: photos we JUST got this past weekend….. 11.5 weeks lol.
We didn’t do a professional video (although we have still yet to see the one his parents have that his cousin took for us). In Canada you have to go apply for the certificate yourself min of 2 weeks after the wedding (to make sure its been processed) and then they mail it to you in a week.

We got our friend to do the video so we had it the day after the wedding lol.
Marriage License only took a week! They were really on the ball, we were expecting to wait a little while.
The photos took just over 2 weeks.

Crazy how long photos take for most!
Now I guess the REAL question is, did any of you bug your photographer? Or did you just wait patiently until they got back to you? We already paid in full and everything so to now play the waiting game is very difficult!

I didn’t have to wait at all for the marriage certificate. The pastor signed it following the ceremony, and our friends were able to take it with them to their house to hold for us, along with the wedding gifts, when we returned from our honeymoon. (The pastor only had to send a copy of the certificate to the issuing jurisdiction.)
Our photographer and videographer both advised us that we should have our products available in about a month. As promised, our photographer e-mailed to us a link to our photographs within that timeframe. Unfortunately, this was not the case with our videographer. It ended up taking NINE MONTHS for us to receive our video. By that point, I was deeply concerned that our photographer was never going to be able to deliver it to us, so I was so thankful and relieved to actually have it in hand.

License was waiting for us when we got back from our honeymoon, a week after the wedding.
Photos, we are still waiting… it’s been 7 weeks. I finally checked our contract, which says 2-6 weeks, and emailed our photog. She’s saying she’ll try to get the editing done by the end of the week, but then she’s going out of town… so of course I am worried that it will be who knows how long if we don’t get them before she goes. Trying not to think about the photos but I am DYING to see them! I will say, I was dying even right after the wedding– it’s gotten a little easier as time has gone by.
